After few minutes Chengxiao and Anlan arrived at their destination. Anlan noticed that Chengxiao had brought her to a restaurant and she wondered if there was something so special he wanted to say, the longer they hold back the news the curious she becomes. She just wanted to know what made Chengxiao bring her to such a luxurious restaurant.
"Cheng is everything alright?"Anlan asked confused
"Of course... don't think too much it's not something that big"Chengxiao said and smiled, she looked so desperate.
"Oh it looks like a big news to me... first it can't be said at home and then a new car and now free meal to such a big restaurant"Anlan said"I've said it before that there's nothing to worry about"Chengxiao took her hand and walked inside.
Anlan and Chengxiao took their seats when they got inside waiting for someone to come attend to them
"It seems like you like it here"Chengciao said as he noticed how she looked around with a smile
"Yeah I do it looks nice"Anlan replied and sighed looking at Chengxiao.
"What's wrong is something on my face?"Chengxiao asked shyly
"Did you finally get the admission to study abroad?"Anlan asked with a serious look
"Why do you ask?"Chengxiao asked back, the admission was something he had applied for several months back but had not gotten a reply yet so he felt like all hope was lost.
Just as Anlan was about to reply ,a waitress walked up to them smiling warmly
"What would you like sir?"The young girl asked
"She would make the order"Chengxiao said and pointed to Anlan. Anlan was taken aback why her? She was beginning to feel uneasy with all this suspense.
"O-okay ..I would like Beijing roasted ducks and stir fried shredded pork with garlic sauce"Anlan ordered smiling and the waitress smiled back and left
"You truly love to eat"Chengxiao said
"Yeah.. it's a once in a while thing just had to do it"Anlan explained and after few minutes the food arrived. It was mouthwatering and the aroma was great.
Anlan sniffed the aroma gently smiling
"Now tell me what's the news about?"Anlan asked
"Well.."Chengxiao paused has Anlan's phone rang
"It's Han Jing I'll be back"Anlan said and excused herself . Chengxiao sighed in relief as she left he didn't even know where to start from he was scared but he just can't keep it anymore he had to do it and get ready for the after effects.
"I'm back"Anlan said from behind walking towards her seat
"Oh"Chencxiao said
"Now the news .. I'm desperate"Anlan said as she stuffed her mouth with the food
"Hmm... it's great you should try it"Anlan said feeding it to him. Chengxiao reluctantly opened his mouth and she stuffed the food in
"What do you think?"Anlan asked and chuckled
"It's great..Anlan there's something I've always wanted to tell you"Chengxiao said and took a deep breath.
"What's that?"Anlan asked with her mouth filled with food making her look cute and irresistible
"Anlan I hope you understand me and won't get annoyed?"Chengxiao asked
"Of course I won't..I didn't get annoyed when you hid your new car from me"Anlan said and looked up. Chengxiao wished she knew that it was totally different. Chengxiao's trembling hands held until Anlan's hand and her body stiffened this wasn't the first time he was holding her hand but she felt something was off about it.
"What do you have to say?"Anlan asked again
"I -l love you Anlan..I really do"Chengxiao spat out with all the courage he had gathered and Anlan felt her body go numb, what does he mean?
