334 - From the ashes: Intangible hope

Daemon looked at Evelyn, his only response to her question being the silent support in his dark eyes. Evelyn's smile widened, with none of the gloom from the previous evening. She mouthed in a soft whisper:

"Thank you."

Daemon's eyes softened, and he opened the doors on both sides of the car. That was the cue, and the two of them stepped down. They left the intimate atmosphere of the car, and they walked to the hospital in front, the same one they had visited two days prior.

Evelyn had made her decision long ago, only hesitating on whether to go through with it. And Daemon, he had read right through her, and he had said nothing. He had only stood behind her, having her back while showering her with love and affection, even physically.
