The quiet in the car showed no knowledge of the darkness brewing behind. Evelyn quietly looked at the other cars in the traffic, before she broke the silence:
"Where are we going now?"
She didn't turn to her driver, facing the window that barely reflected her tired face instead. She didn't seem to be doubting her decision, but she still seemed affected by the almost complete family reunion that had happened.
Daemon glanced at her, then returned his gaze to the road. He spoke with his usual calm, but with his voice seemingly lowered to the frequency of Evelyn's mood:
"The Moonfrost's seaside house."
The answer, as well as the energizing voice brought a spark to Evelyn's face, and she turned to look at Daemon. She could not help but smile in amusement as her long hair came to catch up to the movement of her head:
"So you had it all planned way before, didn't you?"
