The SUV made a short pause for Jason to get down and go to his usual destination during weekdays, before it resumed its journey. It was silent for a while, until Evelyn looked at his phone, turning over the darkened screen for an hesitant look, before she broke the silence:

Silence answered, and she looked at Daemon, before she laughed, breaking away from the quiet that had taken over her mood:

Shaking her head, Evelyn exhaled, not feeling heavy anymore. Of course he would know, and she did not even have to think about how he did it. Whether for having other sources of information or simply reading into her expressions and her mood.

Since there was nothing to hide or feel shy about, Evelyn spoke to elaborate, with more ease this time:

"I got the results earlier this morning, and I've been found to be compatible."
