347 - From the ashes: Never

When the female doctor came the previous day, she checked on Evelyn, and concluded that there were no complications, and little chance of an inflammation happening. What was left to deal with was the pain which was worse than a wound in the flesh.

Painkillers could do the job and help Evelyn feel better, but like any drug, it had its side effects, with addiction being one, and maybe the worst. So they had decided to go back before the drug's effects wore off. In a more comfortable and familiar setting, and with just the two of them, the pain would be manageable, and it might even help the intimacy between them grow further.

Unfortunately, they were stopped before they could leave, and as Evelyn looked at her mother at the door, she took her hand back from the top of Daemon's hand, and grew quiet. Her quiet seemed to latch onto the excitement her mother was feeling, making her unable to keep the wide smile she had come with.
