But can what has been forsaken be gained back? Because now Evelyn, the one to have breathed vitality in his numb, orphaned heart, had her own life, and a little boy calling her mother. And while he left his life full of dead bodies behind, did that life really let him go?

"Alright, Mr Hart. The other side has already been pressing us, so in an hour, Furors Energy will have changed hands, and the last funds of the transaction will be unlocked."

After he heard the answer to his words, Ryan ended the call which had been on loudspeaker, and took back his phone from his desk. He looked at his unchanged office, then turned to look with a smile at Daemon:

"I think no company has ever been sold quite as quickly as ours before."

Before the window, Daemon kept his hands in his pockets as he looked at the blue sky outside. He posed a question instead of reacting to the comment:

Ryan responded with a subtle smile:

"Convoluted enough to keep the investigation going on for a while longer. Unless we want to end it."
