Connel forcefully straightened his expression, and turned to the representatives at the table behind him:

"Everyone, my sincerest apologies, but it seems that the opportunity in front of us can be refined further. I ask you to give me an hour, and I can assure you, I will make it worth your time. You will not be disappointed."

The confusion in the room grew, but Connel did not give anyone the opportunity to understand the situation. He nodded at the audience and the reporters, then stepped down the podium, jumping into the dark maw that had been waiting for him. He walked hurriedly, taking out his phone to make a call.

From heaven to hell, the trouble this time seemed to have taken proportions way too exaggerated. He gritted his teeth now that he did not need to hide his emotions anymore, and he barked in a deep voice at the one on other side of the call:

"Get me the research and the technical departments on the line. Right now!"

"Yes, sir."
