"Second dinner night"

I walked outside of my room and found my father, Shinjo, also getting for the dinner night.

"Oh." My father quickly noticed me

"You ready, son?" He asked while he was still not halfway ready.

"Dad." I called for his attention.

But he was busy getting ready, and his mouth kept rambling like a damn machine.

"The girls are already inside our transportation vehicle.."

"Your buddy, Shinji, is waiting for you outside."

"Does my hair shine, Ray?"

"Shit, I forgot to put a perfume. It'll be a turnoff to your stepmom."

"Dad!" I shouted at him to gain his attention.

He stopped mumbling.

"What?" He impatiently asked.

"Your wife is drunk as shit." I calmly said.

My dad took a deep sigh.

"What did she do this time?" He asked with a worried look on his face.

"She pushed me inside my room and she was about to sexually assault me." I straightly answered with the facts.

"Fuck." He muttered and bowed his down, looking defeated again.

He took a deep breathe.

"Can you please let it pass tonight, Ray?" My dad pleaded, teary-eyed.

I rubbed my eyes with a mild weary expression.

"Please, I swear she never did these kinds of things before!"

"She never drinks."

"She never assault anyone."

"She's not a bad person."

"I know her more than you do."

He started to ramble again.

"Please, Ray." He pleaded again.

I took a deep sigh.

"I'm deeply disappointed in you and you're only making things worse by siding with your wife over your own son, Dad." I calmly said but with such disappointment inside my heart.

I walked away from him.

I walked outside of our home and saw Shinji sitting on the porch, drowned in deep thoughts.

I slowly sat beside him on the porch.

Shinji didn't notice me, and he was unusually quiet

"You think you can get away with it?" I started the conversation.

"Oh, it's you, Senpai!" Shinji woke up to reality and regained his senses.

"Sorry, I was out of mind and out of presence ealier." Shinji reasoned.

I then looked at him with a serious and intimidating expression on my face.

"Why did you associate yourself with the Yakuzas?" I asked him with such hostility in my voice.

Shinji instantly froze.

"And you had a plan to harm little Akane, you piece of shit?" I pressed him.

Shinji started to shiver.

"Go-go-go-mena-sa-sai." He stammered.

He couldn't hold back and began sobbing uncontrollably.

Then behind me, my father appeared, dressed up warmly.

"Let's go, they're waiting for us."

I tapped Shinji's shoulder and leaned close to him.

"We're not done yet, buddy." I whispered near his ear.

We used Sakura's luxurious SUV for our transportation since we're more than a sedan could handle. It's a Lexus NX, a compact luxury crossover SUV.

We were all quiet except the continuous whisperings, soft banterings and giggling of Reina and Akane-chan throughout the drive.

That didn't bother me at all. What bothered me was the continous and suspicious glaring of Sakura's chaperone at me.

He gives me the fucking creeps.

We arrived at Sakura's restaurant and I have to say truthfully, Sakura knows how to picked a good restaurant to invest and eventually own at her disposal.

I know what she does, a set of persuasion tactics, manipulation techniques and seduction will set your plan into fruition. There's no way in hell the previous owner of this luxurious and lavish-looking restaurant has made it easy for Sakura when it came down to transactions and business dealings.

She isn't a successful businesswomen for nothing.

In the business world, you are considered a failure if you're not manipulative, persuasive, tactful, sharp-witted, have good communication and analytical skills, and don't know how to form transactional and beneficial connection with other business-minded people.

We got out of the SUV, and the first thing I noticed was the chaperone, creepily and suspiciously glaring at me again.

Then, he smirked at me like he was giving a hint, a hint that I should watch my back. He the hurriedly drove away.

I told them I had to make a quick conversation with Shinji first before following them.

Sakura, my father, Akane-chan and Reina made their way to the front of the restaurant without me and Shinji.

"Senpai?"

"I just want you to know that I'm sorry-"

But I rudely interrupted him.

"Save it, Shinji, just tell me something." I asked.

Shinji took a deep breath.

"It's a long story, but I'll make it shorter for you."

"I have so much pending debts with the Yakuzas, senpai."

"I'm swimming in it, that's why I regrettably offered my girlfriend to pay my debts, and they wanted Akane-chan for a night because that's all they cared about."

"Who? The Kenji guy?" I asked.

Shinji slowly nodded.

"Just what the hell did you do have this insurmountable debt on your hands, Shinji?" I questioned him with such disappointment.

"I...."

Shinji is hesistant..

"I have a..."

"I have a gambling addiction."

But he answered anyway.

"And Akane-chan doesn't know anything about this." He hesitantly added.

I sighed deeply.

I tapped his shoulder and..

"It's good you didn't tell her because she would die worrying about your stupid ass."

"I will deal with this and in exchange, leave her alone for a moment. She's like little sister to me, and I don't want you putting her in such peril." I said to him with conviction.

"She has a bright and promising future ahead of her and you're getting in the way of that." I bluntly added.

Shinji didn't respond, but he had this look of shame and guilt.

"You under-"

I quickly cut my sentence as I instanly felt a presence behind us.

I turned my back, and the first thing I saw was an unknown man violently charging at me with two knives in both of his hands.
