Back at the Himura's mansion.
While waiting for Reina to come back with the confidential files, I keep drinking my beer until to the very last drop.
The mansion is eerily quiet, just like when I walked to the front door of this mansion. The only sounds I hear is the calm beating of my heart.
Just as I was about to take a sip of my beer, I caught a glimpse of reflection in the bottle. A reflection of a small, metallic, fast-moving sharp object coming toward me at incredible speed.
With my incredible reflexes, I swiftly tilted my head sideways to evade the fast-moving sharp objects.
The sharp objects pierced into the refrigerator. It was indeed sharp, and it was a deadly range weapon called kunai.
"Ninjas?" I muttered, mildly confused.
I swiftly turned around and saw three ninjas, dressed in black like a shadow incarnate and composed and ready to kill.
Then...
I sense another sharp object is coming at me with incredible speed.
I swiftly raised my forearm to use it as a shield from the fast-moving sharp object.
I instantly felt a pain in my forearm as a kunai pierced it. But the pain didn't faze me.
As my blood ran down in my wrist, I looked in my right and saw two more ninjas, dressed in black and poised as if ready to strike and kill.
I have no grudges againts ninjas and no valid reasons to kill them right now. But if it's them who have grudges againts me, then I would proudly add ninjas to my long list of victims.
The five ninjas unsheathed their katanas from their backs, the sharp sound of the their blades echoing in the eerily silent mansion.
I removed the kunai that had pierced my wrist with a devilish smile on my face.
"You are forbidden to step foot in this mansion, stranger." One ninja said in front of me with a dark, distorted voice.
"And for that, you are entitled to the demise of your life right now." One ninja threatened me.
I scoffed, unbothered by their mere and childish threat.
Armed with the intention of killing me, they approached me with keen awareness.
"Any last words, stranger?" One ninja asked me, their blades ready to strike.
Suddenly...
"Stop!" Someone yelled.
I looked and it was Reina, standing at the entrance of the kitchen.
"What the hell are you doing?!" She yelled in distress.
The five ninjas sheathed their blades like a submissive servant.
Facing the distressed Reina, the ninjas bowed in unison.
"Gomenasai, Reina-sama, we just came back from-" One ninja tried to reason but was interrupted by Reina.
"Get out!"
"He's my stepbrother, for god sake!" Reina angrily yelled at them.
The five ninjas humbly and apologetically bowed again in unison.
"Moushiwake arimasen." They uttered before retreating into the shadows and vanishing into the thin air.
"Ugh!" Reina expressed her frustration.
But Reina widened her eyes as soon as she saw my bleeding forearm.
"Oh my god! You're fucking bleeding, Ray-kun!" Reina panicked.
"I'm fine." I reassured her calmly.
Reina ran towards me.
"Let me see how bad it is." Reina tried to touch my forearm, but I recoiled.
"You're bleeding, bro, let me fucking see!" Reina insisted with such distress.
"I said I'm fine, Reina-chan!" I raised my voice.
Reina was startled.
"Gomenasai." She apologetically said with a soft voice
"Did you get the confidential files?" I quickly asked her.
"Here." Reina then handed me the confidential files.
"Thanks." I appreciated her.
"It's getting late, I should go. Don't tell Sakura about this." I said impatiently.
"But, bro, you just came-"
I interrupted her.
"See you tomorrow, good night." I greeted her goodbye and hurriedly left the kitchen, leaving Reina alone.
