Back at the pool, the evening went on and the group has had enough of their banters and decided it was time for them to said their goodbyes to each other. But before that, an interesting conversation was still happening amidst them.
Yumi, always one to stir the pot, leaned over and nudged Reina.
"So, Onee-san, when are you going to introduce us to this Ray guy? I think we'd all like to meet him." Yumi uttered, still teasingly nudging Reina.
Sora nodded eagerly.
"Yeah! Onee-san! You talked about him so much earlier and we're curious enough to see what all the fuss is about." Sora agreed.
Rika, the third girl, always quiet, reserved and the practical one chimed in.
"It would be nice to get to know him, especially since he's becoming such a big part of your life." Rika uttered.
Reina's expression immediately, shifted, her smile faltering as a flicker of possessiveness crossed her face. She forced a laugh, trying to mask her sudden discomfort.
"Oh...Ray-kun?" Reina expressed her hesitancy.
"Well, he's really busy with his life. I don't think he'd have time to meet you guys." Reina excused.
Yumi raised an eyebrow, sensing Reina's hesitation.
"Come on, Onee-san. We could all go out for a drink or something. It doesn't have to be anything big." Yumi persisted.
Reina shook her head.
"Really, it's not a good idea. Ray-kun likes to keep to himself. He wouldn't be comfortable in a big group." She said, her voice firmer.
Kaito, picking up on Reina's mood, tried to smooth things over.
"It's okay, guys. If Reina-chan says Ray-kun's not up for it, we should respect it." Kaito uttered, sensing the hesitancy in Reina's eyes.
"Kaito-kun's right, guys. We can't force Reina-chan on something she aren't comfortable with." Hiro added, a jealousy stirring in his heart again once Reina uttered Ray's name.
But Yumi wasn't ready to let it go.
"Just once, Onee-san. We promise we won't scare him off." Yumi persistency was unwavering.
Reina's eyes darkened, and she felt a pang of jealousy surge within her. The idea of sharing Ray with anyone else, even her closests friends, was unbearable to her.
"I said NO!!" Reina snapped, her voice louder and sharper than intended, her eyes beaming with violence and hostility.
The sudden tension in her tone silenced the group. Hiro, watching the interaction closely, saw an peculiar sign in Reina's eyes and felt his concern deepen.
Kaito, always the peacemaker and aloof, tried to lighten the mood again.
"Alright, alright. Let's drop it. We don't want to upset Reina." Kaito said.
Yumi, Sora, and Rika exchanged glances. They were surprised by Reina's sudden outburst and intensity but choosing to let the matter rest.
Reina took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside her. She looked at her friends, her gaze softening slightly.
"I'm sorry...guys." She apologized.
"It's just....Ray-kun would've said no and I bet he won't be able to meet all of you since he's a busy man." Reina added, trying to give a reason.
Sora nodded understandingly.
"We get it, Onee-san. Just know we're here for you, no matter what." Sora said.
Hiro, unable to shake his unease, simply watched Reina. He felt something was off in Reina and sensed a different set of feelings brewing inside her.
As Reina and the group were about to finish collecting up their own belongings, they heard sounds of footsteps coming from inside the living room.
Suddenly, Arashi, Reina's little sister, walked in with her own group of friends. She was flanked by three girls, Rio, Shion, and Yume, each looking excited to swim at the pool to hang out and relax, and a count of three boys who seemed to radiate arrogance and insufferable personality. The boys wore expensive clothing and carried themselves with an air of superiority.
"Ohayo, Onee-san." Arashi called out seemingly in a good mood as she approached.
"Where's Okasan?" Arashi asked Reina.
Reina shifted her gaze to her, a smile forming on her lips.
"She-"
But as she was about to answer, a quiet presence made itself known behind them.
"Okasan's is in her room, probably sleeping." A feminine voice suddenly answered, her voice shy, soft, and gentle.
Kitsune, the shy, quiet, and introverted girl, appeared almost out of nowhere. Her silent, almost ethereal movements caused both groups to jump in surprise.
"Whoa! Where the fuck did she come from?" One of the boys muttered, taken aback.
"I didn't even see her coming." Shion whispered, her eyes widened.
"How the hell does she do that?" Yume asked, her voice tinged with awe.
Kitsune just smiled at them shyly, her eyes twinkling with a mysterious, fox-like charm.
"Jesus, Kitsune-chan, stop scaring at us like that!" Arashi uttered, a bit of annoyed to Kitsune's sudden appearance.
