"Blood and betrayal"

February 6th, 2026

At Tokyo University - 8:46 PM

The night air in Tokyo carried a subtle chill, brushing gently against Ray's skin as he stepped out of the taxi.

The glow of the city lights reflected off the glass of Tokyo University, shimmering like a stage curtain before a show.

Ray adjusted his sleek, black suit jacket and fixed his collar. He had returned Sakura's sports car earlier that evening - didn't want to abuse her generosity or invite more attention than needed.

Tonight, for once, he had nothing urgent. Just a reunion party. A rare, peaceful night. Or so he thought.

Ray's boots tapped rhythmically against the pavement as he walked through the university's front gates.

The streetlamps cast golden halos on the path, guiding him toward the sports arena where the reunion was taking place. Keito had texted the location minutes ago. Ray slid his phone into his pocket and continued on.

Several women walking nearby couldn't help but glance his way. Tall, sharp-jawed, with piercing silver eyes that greatly paired his light - blonde hair. He didn't just look good in the suit.

He looked dangerously and devilishly handsome.

Then, chaos.

A ruckus echoed from deeper inside the university grounds - raised voices, shouts, a crowd forming.

Ray's steps halted. His instincts screamed. Not curiosity. Instinct.

Military instincts.

He bolted toward the sound without hesitation, weaving past confused students.

The noise got louder. Shouting, grunting, cheers. Like some sort of gladiator match.

Ray turned the corner into a courtyard. A swarm of students surrounded two men in a brutal brawl. Keito was one of them.

"Keito!" Ray called, his eyes scanning.

Keito was bleeding from his lip, swinging sloppily at a taller, more athletic man - a smug bastard who moved like he'd been waiting for this moment.

Their former college classmate. Ray recognized him immediately: Ryuji. Loud, obnoxious, and always full of himself.

The crowd roared as Keito lunged again.

"Come here, bitch!" Keito yelled.

Ray moved. Fast.

Within seconds, he was between them, shoving one back with his left, the other with his right. Like parting the Red Sea. Both men stumbled, confused.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Ray snapped at Keito.

"Let me go, man! I'm gonna kill this fucker! Let me go!" Keito thrashed.

"Let me fucking go!"

Ray gritted his teeth. Keito was a mess.

Ryuji just smirked, wiping blood from his lip.

"Man..." he sneered, eyes locked on Keito. "The taste of her lips, bro... so delicious. And her breasts? Her pussy?"

"Such as shame she chose you. But we're all a winner here because we both tasted what's under her pants."

"But when I fucked her, she moaned loud and passionately. How's yours, bro?" Ryuji kept on mocking him.

"ENOUGH! THAT'S MY FUCKING GIRLFRIEND!" Keito roared.

The crowd gasped.

Then a scream.

A woman in a red satin dress rushed through the crowd, heels clacking against the pavement. Her makeup was ruined, tears streaking her cheeks. Keito's girlfriend.

"Keito! Ryuji! Please stop!"

Keito turned red. A deeper red than blood.

"You fucking cheated on me, you fucking bitch!"

"I'm... I'm sorry... it's—" the girlfriend sobbed.

"I'm going to kill both of you!" Keito was full of anger.

Ray had heard enough. He flung Ryuji to the ground like a ragdoll.

"Enough, Keito! Let's go home," he ordered.

"No... Ray... they cheated..."

Keito's voice broke. He choked. Something in him cracked.

"I can't let them live without consequences..."

"Stop it. You want to go to jail over them?" Ray advised, his voice sharp and firm.

"Keito, you have to under—" The girlfriend tried. But..

"Shut up!" Ray snapped at the woman, cutting her off. His eyes - cold as steel.

Silence fell.

"Hey, you and me." Someone spoke.

It was Ryuji.

Suddenly, Ryuji lunged forward, fists flying. A wild hook aimed at Ray's face.

The audacity..

...and the stupidity.

Ray didn't flinch. He sidestepped effortlessly. Like water dodging a blade.

"Shigeyoshi, right? You look like an asshole. Ever since we're in college, I wanted to beat your ass."

Ray's silence was deafening.

Ryuji lunged again.

Too slow.

Ray caught his arm mid-swing. In a flash, his hands shifted, twisted, pulled - an elite Delta move.

Click!

A gruesome snap echoed. Like a tree branch breaking in winter.

Ryuji's arm broke at the elbow. The bone tore through skin. Blood sprayed.

He screamed. Not a scream of pain. A scream of complete and utter agony.

Everyone froze.

Keito stared, stunned.

The girlfriend covered her mouth, sobbing.

The crowd, once wild and chaotic, fell into horrified silence.

Ray released the broken arm. Ryuji collapsed, howling.

Then Ray delivered a cold, merciless kick to the bastard's gut.

"You haven't changed. Still an asshole."

He turned. Looked at the crowd. His light silver eyes scanned them like radar.

There they were.

The same three men. Stalkers.

Frozen in place.

One of them held a phone. Recording? Reporting? Sending intel?

Ray smirked.

And stepped forward.

The three men trembled.

He kept walking.

Closer.

Each footstep was slow. Heavy. Deliberate.
