Aimee's POV
I was still awkward in Layla's presence. Whenever she tried to communicate with me, I found myself at a loss for words. It felt like I was in a dream world, and instead of considering her my wolf, she seemed more like a ghost.
"Do you want to see your wolf? Are you ready?" Alpha Jacob asked.
I swallowed nervously, and of course, I agreed to this question. I nodded my head and replied, "Of course, if it's possible, Alpha Jacob. I've been feeling quite awkward every time Layla tries to communicate with me. It still feels almost impossible for me to have a wolf, Alpha Jacob..."
"Why? You need to start getting used to Layla; she will be your companion in the future," Alpha Jacob stated firmly. He then took my hand, and his two assistants behind him stood alert, as if preparing for something terrifying, leaving me wondering about the power of my wolf.
