Ding!

"Oh?!" My eyes sparkled in an instant. Though, I guess it's justified to be provided something like this as a form of help to start your journey in an otherwordly setting. Without further a do, I opened the system window for the Inventory panel.

Item Slot:

• Beginner's Pack*

An icon of a golden gift box shows in one of the twelve slots.

"Hmm..lets see." According to what Titan discussed about the system functions, most likely you just need to say the name of the item that you want to check hence, "Beginner's Pack".

"Open." Of course, I habe to open it.

The beginner's pack contains three ranks of random skill book, three ranks of random weapon scroll, and three ranks of health potions, mana potions and antidote. The ranks were all from Mortal to Heaven.

For the skill books, I was able to get a main skill called Parasitism with a Heaven rank, an Earth rank active skill Appraise and a Mortal skill called Beguile.

No attack type skill at all. I wonder how will I even be able to fend off for myself? Such is the road for a Demon Lord.

For the weapon scroll, I was able to get two accessories-type and ine weapon-type of weapon scroll which are the Heaven rank Elven Circlet and a pair of Earth rank earings called Mermaid's Tears, and a Mortal rank Gemini Daggers.

Looking at my two chubby front limbs, I can only laugh as I cry on how will I be able to weild a knife.

The surrounding of my spawn point was dimly lit thanks to the glowing moss that was growing the corners that intersects the high ceilings that are full of colorful stalactites and walls that were made of rocks and dirt -- most likely, I'm in a cave or a tunnel.

The system prompted when I was about to move out of my spawn point. I'm sure that if there are monsters around, they would be around the level that I am, right?

Slightly weaker or slightly stronger, that's just what I'm hoping for. A demon lord died right from the very start of his journey, thinking about it -- that would be epic..!

If that really happens, what would the company do?

Will they terminate my contract and ask for refunds?

Shit..I have to be more serious about this. Hence I stayed in the neutral zone for now to review and see what will be my options in order to become strong and survive.

It took me more than an hour to formulate and deliberate my options. I realized that the skills that I learned and the equipments that I gained are not bad at all. Though I'm not really able to use the Gemini Dagger but that's okay, as long as the plans that I was able to work on are feasible, I'll be okay.

With that, I'm now confident on moving out.

As I explored outside the neutral zone, so far so good, there were no monsters or whatever that can endanger my life. As per the system, the place that I spawned into was in an undiscovered dungeon. As I observed my surrounding, I wonder what kind of monsters that this place can spawn?

It did not take quite long for my question to be answered. On the ceiling, water dripped down towards the tip of the stalactite. As the water travsl down slowly to the tip, you can faintly notice that the was becoming viscous like a mercury. Finally, as the water dropped to the ground, small blob of water formed about as big as a small soccer ball.

I now understood what kind of monster was spawned. But, to make sure, I used my Appraisal skill.

The baby slime slowly crawled towards me. I must have been in its sensory range since the distance between us was just around two meters.

I can sense that this monster was just looking at me. Its mind may be processing what am I to it, if it really does have a mind. Wait, could it be this is one of those cliche story that I become then of an ugly duckling?

No, no no, no, that can't be right.

-8 HP

"Eh?" I was taken aback.

"Did this slime just spit on me?" I did felt something wet on my cheeks.

This slime had a lot of nerves! And what you mean corrosive? Isn't this slime still a baby?

As far as I know, saliva can only become corrosive if a person does not brush his mouth for decades.

Oh yeah, you're a monster alright. I should be feeling aggravated about what happened but instead, I was amused. This slime shows character despite having a tiny intellect.

-1HP

The baby slime pounced and bounced on me. I guess this was its normal attack.

"Hmm..I think using this skill right away will be successful." I wondered.

"Parasitism Activate." Affer chanting, the tentacle that's part of my head moved on its own and stung like a scorpion stinger.

Ding!

My eyes sparkled in delight. It seems that I now have an idea on how to develop my character as the demon lord of this game.

"Oh?" It was a surprise that this skill have this kind of function.

"Hmm.." The first impression that this baby slime gave me was like a snail. With that, a wild idea entered on my mind. Lets call you, "Turbo".

Feeling good, I continued to move and explore. Not that long, I was able to encounter another slime monster. This time, it was as big as a sourdough bread. Wanting to try out the battle plan in my head, I approached the slime monster and used my Beguile skill.

The monster that was moving towards me suddenly halted. Not sure if skill was effective, I instructed Turbo to approach the enemy and use its Corrosive Spit.

-18 HP

A big red font appeared for a second at the top of the slime monster.

"Nice!" That must have been a critical damage.

After rounds of normal attack by Turbo, the slime monster was defeated without being able to fight back.

It seems that the EXP gained is divided and upon checking on that, the sharing rate is 25:75 which 75% goes to Turbo since it was the one that defeated the slime.

As we moved farther, I noticed that Turbo's MP regeneration speed was around 1MP per two minutes and just for a small distance that we traveled, we encountered another slime.

Using the Corrosive Spit cost 10MP. As of the moment, Turbo's MP is just 5/11. With that, I tried testing whether my Beguile skill would last to defeat a slime by using Turbo's normal attack only.

Thankfully, it worked. The Beguile skill's effectivity can last up to 90 seconds. If we do the math where Turbo normal attack can damage 1 to 2HP and the attack speed is two seconds per attack then the HP of the monster is just around 33 to 55, it will indeed work.

I checked Turbo's system panel and indeed, I have the power to control its stats allocation!

With that, I allocated all the free stats to the WIS attribute since MP is what it lacks as of the moment.

MP: 44/44

More than four hours passed by from the time I spawned. Thankfully, as per the company's orientation about the game, it's almost impossible to get tired and feel pain.

After leveling up, it took a dozen of Level 1 Slime monsters for Turbo to level up once more. It seems that after leveling up, the EXP that can be gained from the lower level monsters becomes lesser. This must have something to do with the checks and balances of the game which I believe to be pretty fair.

However, the EXP that I should be gaining should not be affected too, right? Since I am of the same level of the monster that was defeared?

Sadly, the system was not generous about it.

When Turbo leveled up to three, that was the only time I was able to level up as well. I allocated all my gained free stats and Turbo's to the AGI attribute this time. This is for us to be able to move and explore faster.

"Hey, Titan!" I called out my AI system.

[Yes, how can I help you?]

An old woman's voice that's like having a hard time to breathe answered.

"Why is Turbo only getting 3 free stats when leveling up while I'm getting five?" I wondered.

[Analyzing inquiry.....Answer found.]

[Each specie of every race is divided into three Talent: Mortal, Earth and Heaven. Your minion Turbo is under the Mortal Talent while you are under Earth Talent.]

"I see." So, I'm just under Earth talent. I guess you can say that I'm not dumb and I'm not bright?

[Do note that Talent can be raised.]
