Damien emerged from the shadows, flashing a cunning smile at the Lycan king before turning to face Nova.

"What are you doing here, Damien?" Alex inquired, his tone serious.

When Nova discovered that Alex knew Damien, she was shocked. She concluded that Damien had been lying to her the entire time, but she was unable to figure out why.

"Bringing Nova to the palace was a mistake on your part, King Alex. Her presence weakens your rule and makes it vulnerable to attack," Damien said, acting as if he were under a spell.

Alex confronted Damien, wondering why his closest advisor would speak in such a manner.

"Damien, stop this nonsense and leave now. This behavior is disrespectful."

"Who is he, King Alex?" Nova asked, her gaze drawn to Damien.

"He is the closest advisor I have, but he was absent for a while."

Nova is out of the palace.
