Before the storm, there was no Calm.

Even as he stared at her the bond sizzled, growing and spreading until his insides felt like hot lava.

He had never hated a person more than he hated this woman before him, but what's worse is, he couldn't do anything to her. Here she was right in front of him, looking stupefied and lost and yet, he knew the next words that would come from her mouth would be a lie.

The abominable bond that has formed between them had made her easily perceptible to be read by him. From her heavy breathing, to the slight rise of her chest and the red warmth he detected from her neck and ears, he could tell those were not from the kiss they'd shared earlier. She was afraid, and rightfully so.

 

"I know nothing about that name." she rudely spurted out without a blink.
