Chapter 25: Griffin’s POV Friend or Foe

After Griffin said goodbye to Angela and checked on Rory one last time, he closed the apartment door and headed for the staircase. He could still see Angela’s upturned face as they stood in the doorway. He could tell she wanted him to kiss her. He wanted to kiss her. But he was afraid to take advantage of her in her distraught state. There were still so many unspoken words between them. He was willing to wait if it meant they might finally be together forever.

When a door opened at the top of the landing, Griffin found himself face-to-face with Ted. Griffin's first reaction was sympathy. Poor guy, he clearly had a crush on Angela, Griffin thought. He considered putting Ted out of his misery by professing his own love for Angela, but she seemed so protective of her privacy that he was afraid she would consider it a betrayal.

"Hello, Ted," he said with the friendliest tone he could muster.
