‘’Marry me.’’ 

Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”

‘’I don’t mind.’’ 

‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped. 

A few days later: 
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’

Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’ 

Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again. 

An eternity later: 
‘’Won’t you marry me?” 

Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’ 

The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?” 

As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.

His face darkened as he pulled back from the woman and placed her on one side of his body.

Leona could feel the man's hands all over her body and the layer of clothes on her were stripped without any delay. Her body seemed to be freezing all of a sudden. The cold was intensified to the point that she could feel it in her bones.

However, in the next moment, a comfortable warmth seemed to be seeping inside her body as the man pulled her into his arms, both of them were half naked with nothing covering their upper bodies and as their skins touched, the man draped the layer of their clothes around her back and hugged her tighter.

He held the back of her head and pressed her face in his chest while his huge palm stroked her back continuously. He felt her leaning in towards him and her face rubbed against skin as if she was seeking more warmth.
