Convincing Palace Master

After deciding on becoming an honorary disciple Horo and Elevora continued their conversation, but more on a personal level to get to know each other more.

Horo had already open up about a few of his secrets due to her being his benefactor, which also led to her letting her guard down and being more honest and revealing to him.

She didn't even notice it herself, but Horo did because that was his intention in the first place. He didn't reveal that much information just off of the fact that she was his benefactor, oh no, it was part of his plan to give her a favorable impression of him and order to get as much information as he could.

His plan went beyond his expectations though, he didn't think she would offer him to stay in such a place like the Pure Cloud Palace, especially as a disciple.

He immediately wanted to jump right on it but he played it off as if he didn't want to trouble her and rather continue with his original plans.

After he agreed to stay he learned much more about her background and the palace ladder in the conversation.

He even learned her age which was surprisingly recently sixteen. She didn't asked his so he decided not to tell her because she probably wouldn't believe him anyways.

They didn't stay in the room he had woken up in, instead they walked as they talked without Horo knowing where they were going. As they did she pointed out certain structures and buildings while explaining their purpose.

He suddenly asked, "So where are we currently headed?"

She replied nonchalantly "To speak to my grandmother, Also know as the palace master."

Horo nearly shitted his pants, literally. To think he would be meeting such a power house while still being so weak, she might see all of his secrets with just a glance.

He paused in his steps without even noticing, and she unexpectedly grabbed him by his wrist to pull him along.

She said "There's no need to be scared she'll never let you meet her face to face she be speaking to you through her dwelling, by establishing a telepathic link. I'll be going in to talk to her first as well."

He calmed down and continued to walk but he no longer spoke, as he had a foreboding feeling.

Elevora pouted because she was enjoying their conversation, unknowingly growing closer to Horo.

She never really interacted with males as she was surrounded by all women in the palace, and when she left the palace her protected usually warned her not to interact with men. There were few male attendants in the Pure Cloud Palace but they were beast tamers that were used to travel when leaving the palace, because most of the women practiced the techniques of the palace.

Neither of them hold noticed surrounding disciples pointing and whispering at them from afar, they considered it taboo from men to be in main parts of the sect, they should only be where the beast are kept l. On top of that women shouldn't be acting this way with men according to the palace master.

Some wondered what their rebel of a young miss was up to this time.

....

After a couple of minutes traveling in such a beautiful place Horo had already calmed down and before he knew it they were in from of a massive gorgeous palace that is as white as white could get.

An older looking woman was sitting on a small floating cloud reading a book right in front of the main gate.

The woman just shook her head and said "She's waiting for you, you best be prepared for her to reprimand you."

After the woman said that the gate opened automatically.

Elevora and Horo walking in the palace gate towards the main doors, as they did she whisper in his ear, "That's Elder May she's in charge of this palace outside of grandma. She looked gentle but…

She didn't finish what she said she just stared at the doors ahead of them.

She stopped because the moment they got ten feet away from the doors, she could feel her grandmothers wrath leaking from within.

She pushed Horo back slightly and said, "You stay here, I'll go in first."

....

Inside the palace, Elavora was bowing before her grandmother.

She stood in this position for at least two hours.

Her grandmother finally spoke, "You refuse to take my advice, as if I don't know what's best for you. You were born with a supreme kind heart, how can you even risk letting it get tainted by fickle relationships and worldly matters, instead you should be investing all of your time and effort in your Pure Cloud Technique. You have the potential to surpass all of your predecessors and their previous achievements regarding the technique."

Elevora felt like gravity was intensifying from the weight of her grandmother's aura which increased with every word.

She didn't speak, and she wouldn't until her grandmother released her from the pressure.

When the palace master finally did, her voice soften as she spoke "I truly only want what's best for you. You just don't understand the ways of the world, and men even less. They'll use you, abuse you, and discard you. It'll all just get in the way of your progression."

Elevora finally straightened her back and stared directly in her grandmother's eyes.

She said "Grandmother you can't go back on your word, by continuing to reprimand me and criticize my actions you're essentially rescinding your promise to me. You said you would completely support me as I traverse my path and you have not done that at all, you even became more strict which I feel has hindered my growth."

The palace master let out a very long sigh before coming down off of her throne and standing before her granddaughter who she loved dearly.

She gently rubbed her face as she said, "Oh my little Ella, I swear to the deities that it's truly not my intentions to be this way, I'm struggling with my own inner demons because of what your mother did in the past. She was so talented and peerless at one point, only to fall victim to her desires and abandoned her path for your father. I don't wish to see that happen to you, my dear granddaughter as well."

Elevora sighed as well and just hugged her grandmother tightly, "I understand your thoughts and feelings grandma, I truly do, but you promised me. As my beloved grandmother and the dignified Palace Master, you have to keep your word. Just like I made you a promise and fully intend to keep it. I'm certain of my path and it goes beyond simple emotions and inner nature, as long as I keep my intentions pure eternally, I'll surely surpass my predecessors."
