***In the Imperial grounds of Continent 'Eclipse of the Oceans'..
***In Imperial Consort Tamara's Palace within the Imperial Dynasty..
***In a Cultivation chamber..
Princess Seflim currently has her legs crossed in a meditation position at the centre of a small circular cultivation-chamber. Sitting with a lotus position at the middle of the room's Cultivation array, Seflim absorbs pure energies at a healthy pace for her level.
For the last six hours, Seflim has been in this chambers for cultivation. Her cultivational manual has been created in a short period with effects that can be considered to be top of the Imperial rank. This is mostly due to Seflim's starting benefits.
The ring that the Emperor has given to Seflim at birth contains extremely high level Cultivation technique for almost every pathways.
Because of the benefit of available resources, Seflim only needed a the help from various masters who combined the Cultivation methods then coordinated it to her tri-possible-pathways(Swords Battle-maiden:- Swords-woman, Warrior, Mage) constitution.
There is not too much these master vould have really done in term of flawless combination to suit individual traits because however distinct, everyone only has a set of mana veins after all.
The master's could only try their best to shape the cultivation technique to be more compatible with Seflim's mana-constitution while try to prevent her distinct tri-pathways from clashing with each other.
With that done, the master can do no more that leave the rest to Seflim's hands.
It's her body and it is her cultivation journey. If Seflim manages to find balance within herself then she would climb higher on the very cold mountain of tri-paths with a firm grip.
But if she loses control of one method or path then she might completely burn out the pathways choice or burn herself down in the process.
Another issue is that if Seflim is not in control of the balance she finds for her paths then her Cultivation would become stagnated and she would remain stranded at wherever she is on the cold mountain.
The many difficulties involved is part of the many reasons why the few people with more than one possible pathways would in the end choose to follow only one.
Too many things can go wrong with having more than one pathways though the gains always stand out for those who make it to the top of the mountain.
Still meditating in a lotus position, Princess Seflim feels as her ring glows.
A small amount of heat scorches Seflim's finger's pale skin though still she keeps her eyes closed and her breath steady as her cells drink up the abundant energy in the cultivation room while her mana veins becomes clearer and tougher in an almost unnoticeable manner.
The Rank One of Cultivation is not called the beginners Rank for no reason. It is the Rank that shows a bit of the potential you have with different or a single pathways.
It is the Rank that activates your bloodline and special attributes and helps you gain a deep understanding about your mana-veins pathways so that you would be able to use Cultivation techniques better and smoothly in the future.
Some Cultivators do not have access to enough information to know that the truth about the Beginer Rank is Foundation Setting and and these people end up making mistakes in cultivation right from the start.
People like this would hurriedly focus on moving to Rank two instead of setting a tougher and clearer foundation while they are in Rank One.
With one final deep exhale that send her cells into celebration, Princess Seflim ends this cultivation session as she slowly raise her eyelids open to reveal sharp gem-like blue eyes.
The scorch of her ring is still against her finger and lazily rubbing against her ring, Seflim finally receives the message being sent.
'It's time.'.
The message says into Seflim's ears like a close whisper.
It's time,..
It is finally time for Seflim to find the part that is said to complete her. Someone who is one with her in mind, body and spirit. Someone who would walk by her side for eons to pass.
It is time for Seflim to finally find.. Her shadow.
Tanking a breath, Seflim stands up and directly steps through the mana-chamber walls then directly into a portal that leads her to the closest segment to her mother's Palace main doors.
Chin up, spine straight and mind sharp, Seflim walks down a set of long steps then out of the massive and powerful main doors of the Palace.
She arrives outside her mother's Palace where she sees an elegant row of five Crystal Dragon-horse Carriages with Imperial guards making a spread out formation of four man on each angle of each Carriages.
The Imperial carriage positioned at the centre of the line of Carriages is with an elegance thats much more captivating than the rest of the Carriages.
It has a bigger and more polished frame in shades dull red, gold and black. Beautiful Rank-Five Crystal Dragon-horses are attached to the frontbof this carriages. The nobility of these special Crystal dragon horses cannot be hidden as their bodies have gained a shade of pink in their normally aqua Crystal looking bodies.
Flags with neatly shredded ends hangs boldly off the centre top of each Imperial Carriage's roof while rolling over themselves without the need for wind.
These flags carry the ultimate symbol of royalty in form of a noble yet dark art. The art comes in form of a powerful dark eclipse image over a river of darkness and any eyes can tell it is the canopy of the Imperials.
From the Carriages to the powerful Crystal-horses to the standing Imperial guards and their imposing aura to the powerful aura and finally to the dark Imperial flags,..
All of these elements put together shows and leaves a deep impression of two mighty words,-Imperial Royalty-.
Seflim had to pause her steps and take on the 'Imperial' sight. Stepping outside, although amazed by the visuals of the Carriages, Seflim keeps her face calm.
She watches as the guards turn towards her uniformly with their wine shaded capes slapping the air around them into submission for her sake. Uniformly, the guards offers their bows with a fist over their heart and their eyes looking to the ground.
This simple action by the guards is a powerful show but Seflim feels right at home being on the recieving end.
Seflim has always been aware of the fact that she had been born with a diamond spoon factory in her mouth. Things in her own palace still surprises her everyday though sometimes, she cannot help but be blown away whenever she experiences the great previledges that comes with, well.. being an Imperial for the first times.
This time is no different from other firsts that Seflim has experienced though she is trained enough to keep up her Imperial composure in times like this.
Glancing through the Carriages, Seflim is calm and composed as she naturally walks towards to her mother's Carriage which is at the centre of the group.
A Golden armoured knight with a blue cape humbly matches Seflim's pace to the Carriage's door before offering her his right fore-arm which is coated by heavy Gold-metal Gauntlet.
Knowing exactly what to do, Princess Seflim puts her hand over the Knight's cold metal gauntlet as she climbs up the three stair flight that leads into her mother's Carriage door which is held open by another bowing Knight.
Only after the Carriage door closes gently behind her does Seflim calm down a little as she now surveys the inside of the Carriage.
As expected, the Imperial Carriage has spatial properties as what greeted Seflim is a small sitting room with her nanny already waiting for her.
She sees doors to rooms and open spaces to other places as she look around.
The entire setting seems just like a luxurious small house and so Seflim can immediately guess that the inside of the Carriage is hundreds of times bigger than its outside.
This time.. Surprisingly, Seflim not much surprised.
With a calm face, Seflim turns to her Nanny.
"Where is my mother?.", she asks.
"Waiting for you upstairs.", Nanny Nora responds though Princess Seflim lifts her face while a little surprised this time causes there is an 'upstairs'.
With a silent sigh, Seflim kills her mild surprise.
"Bring me to her.", Seflim orders though her words are polite to her Nanny who immediately points the way through.
A brief walk, a couple of stairs upwards moving past a couple of doors and then into another a smaller but more luxurious ancient-western-styled open-sitting-room.
In this space, Seflim sees her mom reading through a report scroll with a pair of thin oval reading glasses held up with her ear.
As a Rank 6 Swords-woman, Seflim's mother must obviously have zero issues with her eye-sight so the only explanation to the use of eye glasses is that the scroll in her mother's hand has hidden messages.
The messages are probably written with aura or mana and the glasses provides assistance with reading through the scroll's mana signatures.
"You're finally here.", Tamara says as she looks up at her daughter with a small smile which Seflim lazily returns. With a steady pace, Seflim walks her way across the room.
Walking towards a chair, Seflim senses the exit of her Nanny from the sitting-room's space. Ignoring the exit, Seflim approaches a comfy chair close to the fireplace.
The fireplace is burning with dancing ash-white flames while giving off pure energies and mana instead of heat.
As soon Seflim sits down, she feels her pore open up greedily to the energies.
Looking at her daughter, Tamara casually mother' levitates a bracelet over to her and she cacthes the bracelet into her grasp.
"What is this for?.", Seflim asks while at the same time putting the bracket on her fair wrist without any hesitation on her mother's intentions.
"That my dear.. is a High-Grade Rank-five artifact. Very expensive, very rare, very hard to make and even harder considering that the one on your wrist is fashioned specifically for you. It is made in order to help you sense your shadow better and recognise whoever it is faster.", Tamara explains to her daughter who only raises her brow in even more confusion.
Learning about artifact, arrays and how to use them more effectively is one of the courses Seflim has just picked up when she broke into Rank One. Athough Seflim is not deep into the course yet, she knows enough from the basics to realise that there's no way in Gieă that she can activate a high-level artifact as a Rank One cultivator talk-less of a Rank Five artifact!.
"I can't use it. ", Seflim calmly says as she feels a prick of cold coming from metal gem bracelet against her wrist's skin.
Seflim knows her mother is not stupid so she just waits for an explanation on the way around.
"I got a favour from your father and by some over-the-top power-play he did not bother much with explaining, you should be able to use it. The fact that you can even touch it as a high level artifact is proof so don't worry much and put a bit of mana into it.", Tamara says while Seflim nods a bit in understanding.
Normally, touching such a high level artifact should have taken her life to if she's able to touch it, she should be able to use it.
It's been barely two weeks since Seflim's breakthrough and she has not mastered even five percent of her mana veins for channelling. Despite these low nombers Seflim is confident enough in her ability to network mana through the veins she has mildly mastered then to bring some of her mana in contact with the bracelet on her wrist.
It takes six seconds before the bracelet of Seflim's hand gives a soft glow as Seflim's shadow becomes deeper and heavier. She has done it.
Seflim's breath becomes a bit deeper as slight confusion surfaces on her face as she looks at the bracelet.
For the first second when the bracelet glows up, Seflim feel her shadow connection not in one direction but rather in two different directions. It is a weird tugging feeling though that split focus immediately disappears afterwards.
Still a bit drained from moving her maa Seflim shrugs off the split that had happened as a glitch.
A glicth that comes naturally with the bracelets activation.
