Standing outside with a box in one hand, a spear in the other hand and a bag and sword on his back, Navi looks fascinated by the lonely moon as he stares up.
His god mother had advised him against about the lonely and painful path that he has been taking since his mother breathed her last. She had told Navi that he does not have to choose the lonely path. She said that he can always ask for help and even take the more mudane path.
Looking at the lonely cresent moon in the sky, Navi finds himself pondering on his god mother's words for the first time since they have spoken.
Where would the lonely path lead him?.
Is there any other path for him apart from this one?. Thinking shortly about this question, Navi finds the answer he seeks.
Yes!. There is a path for him apart from the lonely one. Navi can simply try to live his life like any other martial disciples.
Navi can graduate from the academy as a cultivator, find a martial occupation, probably become more successful than most, finds himself a family and then.. die.
Navi could simply live and die as just another one of the countless free prisoners in the outskirts!.
The very thought of this normal possibility makes Navi feel disgusted and revoked. Navi knows that if he follows the path set for the crowd then he would by no doubt end up in the same destination as the flock.
A person born to be free would find himself living as just another free prisoner!.
The very possibility of this happening sends a silent chill down Navi's spine as he looks to the lonely moon.
It is very obvious that Navi's mind is made up.
Navi doesn't know where the lonely and painful path would lead him though atleast, there should be a twist in his ending.
Turning his calm gaze to the distant great-walls that are standing tall in the night-time horizons, Navi thinks of his first goal that's set to stone.
Escape the social prison called the outskirts!.
Thinking in his set goals, Navi looks to the grandness of the great mountain-walls that cages the outskirts. According to history, no matter how powerful or weak.. nobody has been able to come even ten kilometers near these grand walls before being evaporated into nothingness!.
Turning his gaze to the forbidden forests that form the other half of the outskirt's cage, Navi recalls historic records once more.
Truly powerful people have tried though none succeeded. Nobody can successfully cross through the forbidden forests. No-one even knows what lies in the forest's depths or how far the forest stretches or ends!.
Do the thoughts of past people's failures and the impossibilities involved shake Navi's confidence of getting his goal accomplished?.
Yes. Navi is not one to lie to himself so this answer comes naturally to his mind. Navi already knows that it would take more than willpower and strength to escape the social prison called the outskirt's.
If Navi is ever going to escape the impossible barriers of the outskirt's then fate itself has to give him an helping hand.
So what is many people has failed before him?. So what if others who had wanted to be free had died prisoners?.
None of them were Born to be free. None of the thirst for freedom as much as he does. None of them has a riddle without an answer stuck in their heads!.
Still calmly looking at the moon, Navi breaths slow and deeply as he internally sets his path.
It's either he gets to the end or he dies trying. Nothing and no-one would ever hold Navi down. No-one would ever enslave or tie him.. and if he dies trying to find true freedom, then death itself would be proud to take his defiant soul!.
With these thoughts solidifying in his mind, Navi takes his gaze off the cresent moon as he begins a lonely walk to the dormitory.
..
Walking through the martial campus, as expected there's a lot less student on the grounds than during the daytime but still the campus is anything but empty.
Due to the load that Navi is carrying, it isn't long before he starts to attract attention. Navi wacthes calmly as people freeze when they look into his eyes.
People move out of his path and the feelings of most disciples towards him just cannot be hidden even bely the dark night.
Terror!.
Navi has expected some level of fear to come as a result of the death duel though seeing as disciples get silent once they become aware of his presence and seeing as they gulp under his gaze while moving away, Navi can immediately tell that the fear they feel towards him has crossed the threshold he has been expecting.
Not like they matter much.
Indifferent to whatever they feel to him, Navi walks steadily as he maps his way to the male's dormitory.
Moving up the dormitory's stairs, Navi collides with a martial disciples that had been rushing down without care. Being stronger, Navi is barely moved back though the martial disciple falls on his back from the collision.
"Hey!!!.", The fallen martial disciple immediately yells as Navi after a short grain of pain.
Raising a brow, Navi calmly looks down at angry the martial disciple who has collided against him. Rubbing the side of his waist, the martial disciple finally looks up at Navi's though the instant he makes eye contact with Navi's cold-orange irises, the disciples freezes as terror strikes his very soul.
Tilting his head slightly, Navi calmly looks down at the formerly raging martial disciple who is now frozen in fear. A small feeling of confusion lingers in Navi's mind for a second but that doesn't stop him from calmly speaking.
"My apologies.", Navi calmly says only for the frozen martial disciple to swallow in terror at Navi's words.
Internally shrugging, Navi takes his gaze off the fallen martial disciple as he continues to climb up the stairs. Climbing up, Navi is now aware that he has just caused a minor trauma to a fellow martial disciple.. and it's not from the fall.
Finally getting to his dormitory's third floor, Navi soon locates his dorm-room. Opening the room's door, Navi is pleasantly greeted by the fact that his room-mates are not around.
Without hesitation, Navi moves up to his cabinet with plans of organizing his new package. Normally, Navi would opt to keep his weapons in the academy's storage halls though considering what has happened through the last few days, having his weapons at arm's length doesn't seem too bad.
Plus considering Navi's newborn popularity, very few would be stupid enough to steal from him.
Putting down the wooden box and spear, Navi opens his seven feet tall(7ft) and three feet wide(3ft) cabinet with plans of organizing his load.
Despite Navi's cabinet being big, he doesn't have a lot of things in it so arrangement comes easy. The cabinet is tall enough to contain Navi's five and half feet(5½ft) spear and it has enough partitions to slot in the rest of Navi's load.
With movements and rearrangements, the slightly heavy wooden box is put into the cabinet's bottom-most slot. Navi doesn't plan to open the box yet.
Navi's shealthed claymore sword as well as one of his twin daggers is put into a slimer partition. The second of his dagger's is tucked safely into his inner vest for safety purposes. Opening his bag up, Navi takes out his small claw weapon and puts it into the same slim partition as his sword.
Folding the new robes that his big mom has brought for him, Navi puts them into a small section of his cabinet alongside his other robes. He keeps the bag he has used to carry his load and just like that, arrangements are done.
With a sigh, Navi he pulls out a new bed-cloth then he moves to his bed. It only takes a minute for him to change his bed and pillows clothes though the sheets he replaced and the new-sheets have the same colour.
After doing all of this, Navi locks the cabinet and then he exits the room.
