Chapter 19:Plant Mage

In the dark night, Allen called Peter, who was on watch duty, to a secluded spot by a large tree.

"Peter, I need your help with something. It might be dangerous."

However, Peter didn't hesitate for a moment and immediately agreed, "Boss, just tell me what it is. My life is yours. I'll do anything you ask."

A knowing smile, understood only between men, appeared on Allen's lips. He could almost trust this brother of his completely.

Allen gazed into Peter's bright and sincere eyes. "I've obtained a secret elixir formula and brewed a few doses. It can significantly enhance vitality, but it might be dangerous to take."

Seeing Peter's somewhat enlightened expression, Allen continued seriously, "I won't hide it from you. I haven't taken it myself yet. I was planning to test it on someone else, but the elixir is too precious to waste on others. However, I'm confident it will work!"

Allen hesitated, "But giving it to you, I'm worried..."

Peter interrupted Allen's words, "I'll take it! I trust you, boss. Such a treasure shouldn't fall into the hands of outsiders. Even if there's danger, I believe you'll save me!"

Allen stared into Peter's eyes for a moment, moved, and patted Peter's shoulder firmly. "Good brother!"

Without saying more, Allen took out a bottle of the Plant Mage's Meditation and handed it to Peter.

"Remember, after taking it, sit cross-legged and meditate. Visualize a banyan tree or any other tree in your mind. You must persist for two hours!"

Peter nodded solemnly, opened the bottle, and drank the elixir in one gulp. He then sat cross-legged in the makeshift treehouse.

Soon, Peter felt himself entering a serene state, a faint misty green light flickering around him.

Allen watched everything intently, following the steps without any mishaps.

"It seems the Elixir of Awakening is fine," Allen thought, but he continued to observe for safety.

Forty minutes later, Peter was fully immersed in meditation, and his aura began to rise slowly.

Seeing this, Allen quietly sheathed the hunting knife he'd been holding behind his back.

The elixir's effects had fully manifested. The time Allen told Peter was extended as a precaution.

Although he could almost trust Peter completely, he couldn't be entirely sure.

The elixir's allure could lead Peter to harbor ill intentions if his power increased.

Considering the worst-case scenario, Allen needed to leave some time to elevate his own strength to avoid any surprises.

The surrounding area had been cleared of dangerous animals by Allen, ensuring safety.

While Peter meditated, Allen quickly left.

He moved swiftly through the familiar rainforest, as agile as a leopard.

Soon, Allen arrived at a secret location known only to him.

Entering a tree hollow, Allen took out three bottles of the Plant Mage's Meditation from his chest.

At least three doses were needed to break through to become an extraordinary being. If the potency was insufficient, Allen could take more.

According to the Dark Ritual, only those with innate deficiencies required more elixir to awaken.

Based on the parchment's assessment method, Allen was confident he wasn't one of those people; he had considerable talent.

Allen took one last look at the cramped surroundings, memories flashing through his mind.

His first adventure, smuggling medicines in a war-torn country.

Back then, even a piece of cold medicine could be traded for a cow or two women.

That was also when Allen made his initial fortune, earning his first million.

In the following years, each brush with death brought unimaginable profits.

It was like making deals with the devil.

Nothing came for free; risks always lurked behind profits.

Allen closed his eyes and made a decision, taking three doses of the elixir consecutively.

Sitting cross-legged, he entered a serene meditation in the dark tree hollow.

A faint coolness originated from his tailbone, climbing up his spine like a snake, eventually becoming a dense coldness.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Allen felt as if he were in a frigid, wind-swept wasteland, his brain seemingly gripped by an octopus made of ice.

The cold wind carried countless pieces of information, flooding his body whether he accepted it or not.

Suddenly, a thunderous boom exploded in his mind!

Immediately, a gentle spring rain started from his brain, spreading throughout his body.

In an instant, Allen, in his meditation, saw a world tree towering above the sky!

The moment he saw the giant tree, a torrent of information surged, shattering his meditation.

He trembled violently, his hands instinctively grasping at the air.

Then, like a house dog encountering a tiger, his teeth chattered, producing a hoarse, trembling sound, but it wasn't one of pain.

Instead, it was a strong desire for something.

At this moment, veins bulged on Allen's skin, and his blood surged wildly, as if it wanted to burst out of his body.

It felt like thousands of galloping horses, their hooves pounding, ready to break free from Allen's body.

It was as if thousands of giant trees were growing wildly, about to burst through the shell that confined their vitality.

Suddenly, everything stopped.

Allen's body shook once, and everything vanished.

He then fell into a state of oblivion, thoughtless and serene.

Green mist emanated from his pores, and a green glow enveloped his body.

A mysterious force, capable of reviving all things from desolation, filled the cramped tree hollow.

If anyone observed the giant banyan tree where Allen was hiding, they would see it rejuvenating, coming back to life.

The previously lifeless, withered roots began to stir, growing slowly but visibly.

Meanwhile, the area, cleared of dangerous animals by Allen, began to stir.

One by one, creatures started rushing towards the tree where Allen was hiding.

But all the animals were blocked by a faint green mist forming a barrier.

Any animal that touched this barrier was poisoned and died.

Surprisingly, a small lizard, about the size of a palm, managed to crawl through the green mist and clung to the outer wall of the tree hollow.

The little lizard opened and closed its mouth, greedily breathing in the deadly green mist.

But the mist was too much.

The little creature's belly swelled, and under the mist's toxic influence, it climbed onto a branch and fell into a deep sleep.

Allen was unaware of all this.

A vast vitality was sprouting within him, unstoppable and grand!

A new identity was about to be bestowed upon Allen—the Mage Sequence: Plant Mage!
