Chapter 50:Precious Dragon Materials

The shopkeeper felt a pang of distress upon hearing Allen's words.

This guest had such keen senses; he was clearly no ordinary person and spoke reasonably without forcing the issue.

It was precisely this type of person that was difficult to refuse.

After a moment of contemplation, the shopkeeper forced a smile, "Sir, you have excellent hearing. Since you overheard our conversation, I won't hide it from you. If it were anything else, I could agree to it right now. But the Bear Bee honey for the Countess is something even our old master wouldn't dare neglect, so..."

Seeing his boss being refused, Peter was about to speak up, but Allen stopped him.

"Very well, I won't make things difficult."

With that, he got up and prepared to leave with Peter.

The shopkeeper and the attendant escorted them with smiles, "Sir, won't you take another look around? You might find something else you like."

As they reached the center of the hall, Allen replied unexpectedly, "What if I find something else I like, but you won't sell it?"

The shopkeeper was momentarily at a loss for words and had to reluctantly agree, "Absolutely not. Anything you see in this hall, you can definitely buy."

"What about this?" Allen pointed to the crystal cover.

Following Allen's direction, the shopkeeper and the attendant were speechless!

It was like the treasure displayed in some stores, labeled as merchandise but not easily sold.

The shopkeeper stammered, "Sir, you're really putting me in a difficult position."

His expression was conflicted, and his tone hesitant. After a moment, he gritted his teeth, "If you're sincere about buying it, it's not impossible. But you'll need to wait for our old master to return and discuss it. How about that?"

"How long will it take?"

Seeing Allen agree without hesitation, the shopkeeper became even more respectful, "Not long. I'll send someone to fetch him right away."

The shopkeeper was so serious because he didn't know what the items under the crystal cover were.

But the old master had instructed that if anyone wanted to buy them, his approval was necessary.

Rumor had it that the three items inside were from a dragon, though the shopkeeper didn't know for sure.

The shopkeeper didn't know, but Allen was clear.

From the moment he entered, Allen's attention was drawn to the crystal cover.

Though he asked about Bear Bee honey, in his mind, it had already become secondary.

Because the items under the crystal cover were none other than the scales, claws, and teeth of a Beaked Fairy Dragon!

Even through the thick crystal cover, the faintly emanating pure aura was keenly sensed by Allen.

If it were any other mystic, they might have been mistaken, but not Allen, a Plant Mage.

Because the Beaked Fairy Dragon was key to advancing to a Level 2 Plant Mage!

The sheepskin scroll "Dark Rituals" clearly stated that the potion for advancing to a Level 2 Plant Mage required a Level 2 treasure called the Crimson Elf Cup!

And the guardian beast of this magical treasure was the Beaked Fairy Dragon!

This was the only dragon detailed in the "Dark Rituals."

An adult's wingspan could reach three to four meters, with a body length of up to six meters, including its long tail (about four meters long).

With two wings and two legs, its body was a cold blue-black color, and its throat had a frog-like air sac that could emit a dizzying call.

Though it had a beak like an eagle, its mouth was filled with fine teeth.

It lurked in dark forests and swamps, using the cold glow from its throat sac and tail tip to attract animals, which it then hunted and ate.

As a Level 2 extraordinary guardian beast, this medium-sized Beaked Fairy Dragon had incredible speed and could instantly freeze a large-antlered deer with its icy breath.

The treasure it guarded was the key material for the Level 2 Plant Mage potion—the Crimson Elf Cup.

A fungus that was entirely blood-red and shaped like a spherical teacup!

The Crimson Elf Cup was said to be born from the blood of deceased elves, making it extremely rare.

If not for this chance encounter with the Beaked Fairy Dragon's body parts, Allen would have had no clue about this treasure and its guardian beast.

It didn't take long for an energetic old man to walk into the shop hall, "Who wants to buy the items under the crystal cover?"

The old man had a head of silver hair, a thin face with high cheekbones, deep-set eyes, and tightly pressed lips.

His sharp gaze gave him an eagle-like appearance.

He walked straight to Allen, "Young man, are you the one who wants to buy the treasures under the crystal cover?"

Allen remained composed, sitting in his chair, and nodded slightly.

"Do you know what these items are?"

"Do you know what they are?" Allen countered.

The two's auras clashed instantly, unnoticed by those around them.

But the old man's brow furrowed, and his heart sank.

How could this young man's aura be so strong, even surpassing his own!

Though his physical abilities had declined with age, his formidable strength was not something just anyone could challenge.

The old man gave Allen a deep look, "Let's discuss this upstairs."

Looking at the winding wooden staircase, Allen told Peter without hesitation, "You stay down here and wait for me."

Leaving Peter behind, Allen followed the old man up the stairs alone.

With his strength, Allen had no fear of any threat within the shop.

Moreover, he had no enmity with the shop owner, so there was no reason for an assassination.

Besides, as a Plant Mage, Allen's toxic mist and the Thorny Blood Vine's clone made him nearly invincible.

Even if there were five hundred armed soldiers upstairs, they would be no match for him.

The old man led Allen to the third floor, entering a quiet and elegantly furnished tea room.

After the maids served tea and left, the old man drank his tea in one gulp, "Please..."

Allen picked up his cup, and the green mist silently merged into the tea, which he also drank in one gulp.

"Good, straightforward! I won't beat around the bush. Do you really know what those items downstairs are?"

The old man, unlike Allen, did not cover his face, so Allen could clearly see the eagerness in his eyes.

Allen nodded slightly, "I know, but before that, may I know your name?"

"I am somewhat known around here. Haven't you heard of Wilbur?"

Allen shook his head, "I've just arrived and am not well-informed." Though he said this, the name Wilbur sounded familiar.

When the old man asked, "May I know your name?"

Allen instinctively used an alias, "Walter."

Wilbur repeated the name twice in his mind but found no related memory, "Mr. Walter, can you now tell me what those items are?"

Allen put down his cup, "Dragon scales, dragon claws, and dragon teeth."

Though Wilbur was prepared, hearing such precious items mentioned so casually still shocked him, "Who is this person?"
