Chapter 57:Revenge

Time flew by, and soon it was evening.

On the boats sent by the fishmonger gang to monitor, the boatmen and hunters were all trembling.

Just moments before, the people who had been hiding in the treehouse base suddenly swarmed out.

Even worse, a faint green mist spread over each boat, rendering everyone immobile.

To quickly and thoroughly deal with the situation, Allen personally took care of these lackeys.

"Boss, what should we do with these people?" Pete, filled with rage, wanted to kill them all and feed them to the fish.

"Let the youngsters do it. Let them see some blood so they won't falter later!"

With Allen's nod of approval, the eager team members raised their hunting knives.

Chopping and stabbing, they quickly ended the lives of a dozen men.

The blood in the water attracted lurking crocodiles and piranhas, which circled the boats, drawn by the scent.

With a series of splashes, the carnivorous fish swarmed, feasting on the still-warm bodies.

"You... you just wait. Our boss will kill you all, you bunch of lowlifes!"

The man Allen had deliberately spared shouted in terror.

With the monitoring team completely wiped out, there was no risk of anyone leaking the news.

After some cold-hearted torture, Allen knocked out the captive.

He had already scouted the fishmonger gang's headquarters, which matched Wilbur's description.

With a wave of his hand, Allen commanded, "Pete, get everyone on the boats!"

Five or six boats set off together, charging towards the northeast waters.

That was where the fishmonger gang's headquarters was located.

When the boats silently reached the fishmonger gang's base under the cover of night, Allen realized he had overestimated them.

The place was dilapidated, with stagnant waters around the wooden houses covered in fishing blood and sewage, making the area reek.

The captive, awakened by a slap, looked at his base in terror and nodded at Allen.

Locked at the throat and unable to move, he couldn't warn his comrades.

The sentry posts outside the base were rudimentary, with only two tall banyan trees.

In the treehouses, the sentries were sound asleep, unaware of their impending doom.

Allen had no intention of being a meticulous nanny. He only needed to deal with the high-level combatants in the fishmonger gang, leaving the rest to his subordinates.

It was a good opportunity for the beggar orphans to see some blood.

"Pete, listen up. You will lead the team in the attack. When you get my signal, charge in. Kill all men taller than one meter, leave the women!"

"Yes, Boss!"

Allen then moved like a ghost into the banyan tree canopy, carrying the limp captive and crouching on a hidden branch.

"Is it that one?" Allen pointed to the brightest wooden house among the chaotic structures.

The captive nodded shakily.

"Alright, your task is done. Have a good sleep..." Before he finished, Allen snapped the captive's neck.

He then leaped like a meteor towards the brightly lit house, filled with lewd sounds.

This was Allen's first time going all out against an enemy. He moved swiftly like a meteor, leaving barely a trace.

The snoring sentries had no idea danger was approaching.

Landing silently, Allen reached the house's perimeter.

Raising his hand, he released a green mist that spread around.

Under the cover of night, the green mist was hard to detect, blending with the foul-smelling air. The fishmongers inhaled it into their lungs.

Inside the house, three shabby, sinister-looking men were each holding a young woman.

With each drink, their raucous laughter echoed through the base.

"Hahaha! Boss, you should've seen it today. I knocked those brats to the ground with one move!"

"Yeah, Boss, don't worry. Tomorrow we'll take over their shop and business."

The burliest man, despite his drinking and laughing, had a cautious glint in his eyes. "Hey, you two, don't be so careless. Those beggars have no backing. How could they have such a delicious grilled fish recipe? I bet someone is behind them!"

Before he finished, the three men became alert, their eyes instantly looking out the window.

They saw nothing, but a series of special whistling sounds kept coming.

It was Allen's signal arrows!

Upon hearing it, Pete and the others sprang into action.

The hundreds of fire oil tear gas bombs and poison gas bombs made in a day were thrown at the fishmonger base with all their might.

Wooden structures were highly flammable, and the thatched roofs caught fire instantly.

Fire oil splashed, and flames shot up.

Along with the flames, thick toxic smoke spread.

The unbearable stench and the eye-watering spiciness quickly filled the area.

"Not good!"

The three fishmonger leaders, seeing the flames, knew something was wrong.

The wooden house above them crackled as it burned.

Someone was attacking! The three leaders immediately used the young women as shields and rushed out.

Meanwhile, Pete and the others, seeing the fire raging and the fishmongers in chaos, seized the opportunity.

Allen had instructed them to fire arrows and set fires without worrying about him.

Pete ordered a barrage of arrows. Poisoned arrows and flaming arrows rained down like a storm.

In battle, there was no consideration for who should be killed or captured.

The sharp arrows blocked the enemy's escape routes.

Screams echoed as the enemies were shot and fell into the water.

With the advantage of surprise, the few dozen beggars could use fire and arrows to defeat the larger force.

Of course, the key was Allen inside, holding off the three leaders.

Rather than holding off, it was more like toying with them.

When Allen appeared, the three knew he was the main threat and charged at him recklessly.

But none could get close.

Allen easily tripped the second leader, breaking his bones with a series of cracks.

Grabbing his neck, Allen lifted him like a dead dog.

The other two, experienced fighters, realized they couldn't match Allen.

"Honorable sir, who are you, and what is your purpose? Please, spare us. We will clarify any misunderstandings and apologize."

Allen smiled, "No misunderstandings. I'm here to kill you as a warning to others." He then snapped the second leader's neck.
