"Mrs. Agnes are you crying?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.
"Don't need to worry my dear, with time you'll know everything," she answered, a slight smile on her lips.
"You should go check on the girls, since that your job. Master don't like his workers sitting doing nothing, just be careful the way you do things around here," she instructed, sounding serious.
"Thank you Mrs. Agnes," Isadora declared as she departed with a wave until she was out of sight.
Isadora sigh as she walked into the house, she was a little sad she couldn't get much information from Mrs. Agnes. But, she held to heart the little information she got, she wondered why the Sterling's brothers were at war, she just needed to find out.
She walked until she was standing in front of a door, it was Piper's room. She gently knock on the door and the voice of a little girl was heard beckoning her to proceed inside. She opened the door and stuck her head through before allowing her body in.
"Hi new nanny!" Piper exclaimed, jumping happily on her.
"Hi little cutie, what is your name," Isadora asked, cheerfully swinging her around before putting her down.
"My name is Piper," she voiced, in a tone that is utterly adorable. "What is your name?"
"My name is Isadora," she stated, with a radiant smile.
"Aunty Isadora, you're pretty, will you be my friend?" She asked, in a soft hesitant voice.
"Awn, that's so sweet of you, of course I'll be your friend," Isadora answered, in a bright, shinning countenance. "Tell me about yourself," she added as they both climbed into the beautiful pink bed.
The little girl's bedroom was a pink paradise. Soft pink walls enveloped a cozy bed piled high with plush pillows and stuffed friends. Pink-tinted trinkets and artwork danced across the walls and shelves, while a pink-painted desk and dresser added to the rosy glow. A haven of sweetness and innocence, where pink reigned supreme.
They got to know each other after talking for about 30 minutes, Piper was a sweet and lovey soul, she was easy to communicate with, she had a huge doubt about that concerning her sister.
"Okay Piper, I'll come check on you later," Isadora proclaimed, lifting herself up from the bed.
"Bye, Aunty!" She exclaimed, with a charming tone.
Isadora walked out of the room, her next destination was her sister's room. Getting to the front of the door, she knock on the door waiting for a response but none came. She knocked again this time louder than the first time, and the door swang open Sophia coming into view.
"What do you want?' she asked in an harsh tone, revealing her unwanted presence.
"I just wanted to talk to you, or maybe get to know you," she uttered, viewing the arrogant girl from head to toe.
"I told you before, I don't like you. Stay out of my business okay, I don't need you," she arrogantly sparted out, not hiding her disgust.
"But your dad said..." She trailed off, looking for the right words.
"I don't care what my dad or my mum said, just stay away from me if you want peace in this house," she ranted before banging the door.
"Wow, that was unexpected. What do I do?" She asked herself walking away from the where she stood.
She met Grayson on the way, when she decided to get water from the refrigerator, trying to come up with a way to go about Sophia's arrogant behavior.
"Madam instructed you take the kids to the shopping mall and then to the stationary shop in preparation for their resumption next week," he explained, handling her a card.
"For what?" She asked, collecting the card from his hand.
"Whatever they're going to buy and she also instructed that you don't let Sophia get hold of the card," he asserted, in a warning tone.
She nodded in agreement as he walked off after revealing the card's pin. She walked back to her room not having the urge to drink anything. Immediately she entered her room, locking the door. She made her way to the bed allowing her body to sink in .
"What have I gotten myself into?" She screamed in her head, her expression showing regret.
She had heard so much about the Sterling's family, but unlike what Agnes told her, they're painted perfect in the outside world. No one knew they had a battle going on within, they were a set of powerful people but cannot be compared to the Calonia's family.
The Calonia family, the rulers of Calonia, were a family of four bound by love and duty. King Magnus, the strong and protective monarch, ruled along side his wise and beautiful Queen Lumina. Their two cherished offspring, Prince Orion, the bold and daring heir, and Princess Eliana, the sweet and melodious youngest, brought joy and harmony to the kingdom.
She looked at the time, she decided to tour round the house before taking the girls out. She left her room walking aimlessly not without coming across other workers. She heard people talking in what looks like a private lounge, recognizing the voice as that of Maxwell she hid in a corner eavesdropping on their conversation.
"She knows she's been watched but she's not aware of who's watching her. So, Marcus, I want you to keep an eye on her outside the mansion, since you're going to be the one driving them around," he instructed, in a commanding tone.
"Yes Master," he replied, with a surrendering tone.
"Hillard, you're to watch her every move in this mansion and report back to me, don't make it obvious, she must not know," Maxwell further instructed his most trusted butler.
"Yes Master," he answered, bowing his head in respect.
"Now both of you carry on, I've got somewhere to be. And make sure no one knows about what's going on, you know what I'm capable of. None of you should ever think of steeping on the tail of a snake, unless it's venom will sink deep into your blood and you'll never make it out alive," he threatened, his tone dark.
Isadora shook in fear after listening to their conversation, she knew she was in a deep mess with no way out. She turned swiftly thinking of leaving quietly when her phone fell due to her unsteady hand, the sound echoing throughout the room.
She froze on the spot, her heartbeat rising rapidly. "How do I excape this," she reasoned.
