Isadora quickly picked up the earpiece from the floor and removed her earrings, holding them in her hands.
"Why are you still down there? Can't you stand? What are you doing?" the voice scolded.
Isadora slowly rose to her feet, turning to face the Prince. She bowed her head, "I was asked to serve you," she said, gesturing to the table.
The Prince's eyes narrowed, "You're not Melinda. What were you doing under the table?"
Isadora explained, "The chef couldn't find Melinda, and I lost my earrings. I was searching for them," she said, showing him the earrings.
The Prince commanded, "When I speak to you, look at me. Do you know who you're standing before?" Isadora slowly lifted her head, but her hair covered part of her face. "I want to see your face," he demanded. She sighed, tucking her hair behind her ear.
The Prince's eyes widened in surprise, "Wait, since when does this palace allow pregnant women to serve?"
