Chapter 8: Second Meeting

Jasper grabbed the melted slimes and pulled them upwards. The melted slime looked like melted metal, glowing red...

Jasper cut some of it off with his hand and began to shape it.

After a while, he cooled the shape with magic and solidified it.

At the end of this process he had a transparent material. If you hit it hard, it wouldn't break its shape, but if you pressed it softly, it would cave in and return to its original shape when you let it go.

But the shape it gave was definitely not the shape he wanted. He tried to make a sphere, but what he got was more like a square, he thought.

'I suck at handcrafts, I love it'

He tried a few dozen more times and still couldn't get the shape he wanted. Finally, when there was only enough to make the last one, he gave the last piece to the golem and said,

"Hey, useless little shit, give it a sphere shape."

The golem formed a hemispherical shape in both palms, squeezing the molten slime between them.

Jasper cooled the shape and finally got what he wanted. He made a mold of a flower he chose from the shelves and put it inside the sphere. He filled the flower shape in the center of the sphere with his own blood and the rest with white blood.

Then he attached the sphere to a thin silver chain and made it into a necklace. Lastly, he used his finger to write magical words in the ancient language inside the orb and enchanted it, the words disappeared after they were written...

Jasper didn't realize it as he was focused on his craft, but his eyes were glowing with hunger and his mouth was quivering, so I guess white blood wasn't something that really satisfies his craving.

Normally Jasper could go a few months without drinking blood. However, the time Sylvaine had visited, he had used up a lot of strength due to the portal he had opened while looking for entertainment while drinking the blood...

Jasper put the necklace he had made in a box and handed it to the golem with the bag along with the letter,

"You give these to the elf who brings me blood. Okay?''

The golem gave the soldier's salute, "Aba" and threw Jasper's items into his bag. Jasper turned to the other golem and gave it a magic orb and said,

''You hold that elf, and break the orb. Okay?"

He saluted in the same way and took the orb.

Jasper couldn't give complicated commands to the golems, because the golems were too stupid...

*Sylvaine's Room*

She sat on her bed, curled into a fetal position, her head resting on her knees. The weight of her thoughts pressed down on her, filling her with a profound sense of sadness.

Did she have to get married? was there no other solution to her people's problem?

Then the memory of Jasper looking into her eyes and making perverted compliments on her body flashed through her mind and she felt anger.

There was the prince on one side and the vampire on the other,

She started thinking, 'if only I hadn't been scared and gone to his castle, maybe he's not the psycopath I thought he was...

Of course he is. Who would kill a family and lock them in a window? If only I knew he could find a solution to our problem, I might have chosen him even though he's a maniac. After all, he only seems to be after my blood...'

On the other side, there was a useless prince who insults his wives in public and doesn't even treat them like human beings, he's drunk most of the day. She knew that he could solve the problem and at least he was only human.

'If I can put up with him for a few years he will die, maybe I should choose him,' she thought...

She was obviously trying to see the good in two bad options and to convince herself, she said in a sad voice,

"It really looks like I'm going to have to make a political marriage with that asshole."

Just as her eyes filled with tears and she was about to cry, the house started to swing.

Had the tree started to move or was it caused by something? What could be shaking this majestic tree in which she was staying? She got out of bed and looked down.

The golems he had seen in the castle below had twisted the earth into a giant hand and were trying to uproot the tree.

Sylvaine shouted towards the golems,

"Hey, stop it!"

The golems looked up, they seemed to recognize her. They waved and kept attacking the tree, Sylvaine jumped down and said as she fell,

"I told you to stop it!"

Sylvaine landed on the ground with a heroic landing and the golems looked at her and started clapping.

*Clap clap clap...*

She stood up and walked angrily to the golems and said,

"What do you think you're doing? Are you here for my blood?"

One of the golems seemed to have a backpack. He took out a paper and a box and handed it to her,

''Aba!''

Sylvaine asked, confused,

"Are those for me?"

The Golem nodded and said, "Aba'' Sylvaine took the paper and the box and said,

"T-thanks, I guess."

The other golem drew dirt on its body with its foot and one of its hands started to grow. When its hand grew about two meters, it grabbed Sylvaine and lifted her up, Sylvaine said angrily,

"What do you think you're doing?''

The golem threw a orb on the ground and said,

''Aba!''

Sylvaine and the golem teleported to the castle gate, while the other golem seemed to have to walk all the way to the castle...

He put Sylvaine down and looked innocently at the door.

Jasper teleported right behind them and tapped Sylvaine on the shoulder. Startled, she reflexively turned and swung a fist, but Jasper caught it inches from his face. His eyes glowed with hunger, and his mouth twisted into a grin.

Sylvaine stepped back, shouting, "Are you going to kill me because I didn't visit you on time?!"

Jasper, calm and direct, replied, "What are you talking about? Didn't you get my letter and my gift?"

Sylvaine glanced at the paper and the box, then back at him. "A gift? You got me a gift?"

Jasper nodded. "Can I get this week's blood delivery now? I'm losing control of my appetite."

"NO! Not until you hear my terms!" Sylvaine snapped.

"Fine. Can you deliver the blood first?" Jasper asked, his tone impatient.

Sylvaine rolled her eyes, surprised by his change in behavior. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it to you early. You're more cooperative than I thought you'd be. Where's that thing that drains my blood?"

Jasper stepped closer, his gaze intense. "I can do it without the device," he said.

Before she could protest, Jasper had her pinned against the castle door, she dropped the box and paper on the floor. His cool breath brushing her neck. "Just a taste," he whispered.

Sylvaine's heart pounded, a mix of fear and unexpected anticipation. "I... I don't think..." she stammered, but her words were cut off by a sharp gasp as his fangs pierced her flesh.

Pain and pleasure mixed as he drank. She squirmed, her initial resistance fading. A moan escaped her lips, surprising even herself. Jasper's grip tightened, his eyes darkening with satisfaction.

When he finally released her, Sylvaine's knees buckled. Jasper caught her by the waist, holding her up. Another moan slipped out, but she quickly bit her lip "Mmmph", trying to stifle it. Her hand moved to her neck, feeling the tender puncture wounds.

Jasper's expression was impassive. "I overdid it" he said bluntly. "Didn't mean to hurt you."

Sylvaine's cheeks flushed with embarrassment and lingering pleasure. "Idiot!" she snapped, trying to push him away but failing. "You can't just do that without a warning"

Jasper's gaze was a mix of of satisfaction and relief. "Sorry about that" he replied, his eyes lingering on the marks. "But you tasted... exquisite."

Sylvaine turned her head, trying to hide her blush. "Just... don't get used to it," she muttered, still leaning against him for support.

Jasper picked her up and said, "Don't worry, if you deliver my blood on time, I won't act like a primal vampire again''

Jasper teleported to the room that she freaked out and ran away from last time. He laid her on the bed and sat next to her to listen to her terms in deal.
