Chapter Hundred And Twenty Eight

Suzy pushed the door open, revealing Doris frantically searching for something in the midst of a cluttered room. Doris turned, her eyes wide with surprise.

"Is anything wrong?" Suzy asked, her voice filled with concern.

Doris paused, her breath coming in short gasps. "Nothing, Milady," she replied, trying to sound calm. "I was just tidying the room so that I can do my other chores."

Suzy smiled, her expression softening. "I told you to rest, Doris," she said. "There are other people to do it."

Doris nodded, her eyes filled with gratitude. "I'm almost done," she replied.

She paused for a moment, her expression thoughtful. "Why are you back from the dining room so quickly?" she asked. "Was the food not to your liking, or didn't you have an appetite?"

Suzy hesitated, her brow furrowed. "I'm feeling uncomfortable," she replied. "It's as if something bad is waiting to happen."
