Silence descended upon the room, heavy and suffocating. Ryan, his gaze fixed on the floor, felt the weight of Suzy's words pressing down on him. He dismissed Davis with a curt nod, his voice barely a whisper, "Leave us."
The door clicked shut behind Davis, leaving them alone. Suzy, her eyes filled with a mixture of emotions – anger, sadness, and a profound love – closed her eyes briefly, collecting her thoughts. "I hate you so much for keeping that from me, Ryan," she confessed, her voice a mere breath. "But my love for you supersede the hatred I felt."
The confession hung heavy in the air. Ryan looked at her, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Cassandra?" he whispered, the name heavy on his tongue.
She walked towards him, her steps hesitant, her heart pounding against her ribs. Her mind reeling " I also lied to you. I'm Suzy not Cassandra . I want to tell you so badly but it would ruin a lot of things."
