Kaito's Living Room
Kaito was sitting in the living room with his parents, Miki and Gorou, and Asia. The room was illuminated by the soft light of the late afternoon, creating a cozy atmosphere. Miki was seated on one of the sofas, her hands nervously clasped in her lap, while Gorou, sitting next to her, looked at Kaito with a worried expression. Asia sat next to Kaito, offering him a reassuring smile.
Kaito took a deep breath, feeling the tension in the air.
"Mom, Dad, I need to talk to you about something very important," he began, his voice calm but firm.
Miki and Gorou exchanged anxious glances. Both had worried expressions, as if fearing the worst.
'Did he find out he's adopted? How will he react?' Miki thought, clasping her hands even tighter.
'I hope he's not hurt that we didn't tell him earlier,' Gorou thought apprehensively, his gaze fixed on Kaito.
Before Kaito could continue, Miki interrupted, determined to reveal the secret before he could say anything.
"Kaito, dear," she began, her voice trembling. "Your father and I have something important to tell you. We know this might hurt you, but we think it's better you hear it from us."
Kaito frowned, curious about the interruption. "What is it, Mom?"
Miki took a deep breath, trying to gather courage.
"You... you're adopted. We love you as if you were our biological son, but we didn't want you to find out any other way."
Kaito looked at his parents, a playful smile appearing on his face. "I already knew that, Mom. In fact, I've known for a long time."
Miki and Gorou were surprised.
"You knew?" Gorou exclaimed, clearly confused.
"Yes," Kaito replied, laughing slightly. "I mean, I'm half Japanese and you two are fully Japanese. It wasn't that hard to notice something different. But it never mattered to me. You are my parents, no matter what."
Miki sighed in relief, feeling the weight lift off her shoulders. "Oh, Kaito, we're so relieved you're not upset."
Gorou also seemed more relaxed. "We never wanted to hide anything from you. We just didn't know when the right time to tell you would be."
Kaito smiled at his parents, feeling lighter. "Don't worry about it. You are amazing, and I love you. But what I really need to tell you is about something much more important and... supernatural."
Miki and Gorou were confused, exchanging uncertain looks. "Supernatural?" Miki asked, raising an eyebrow.
Kaito looked at his parents, feeling the gravity of what he was about to say.
"Yes, supernatural," he replied, taking a deep breath. "I'm half-Devil and half-fairy."
Asia, sitting next to Kaito, squeezed his hand in a gesture of support. She looked at him with a reassuring smile, showing that she was by his side, no matter what.
"Hahaha! Kaito, you've always had a vivid imagination," Gorou said, still laughing.
Kaito maintained his serious expression, waiting for his father to stop laughing.
"Dad, it's true," he stated, looking directly into Gorou's eyes.
Gorou, noticing the seriousness in Kaito's voice, gradually stopped laughing, the amusement fading from his expression.
Miki, still confused, looked from Kaito to Asia, trying to understand what was happening.
"Kaito, what do you mean by that?" Miki asked, her concern evident in her voice.
Kaito took another deep breath, deciding that the best way to explain would be by showing. He closed his eyes and focused, feeling the magical energy within him. Slowly, his translucent fairy wings began to emerge from his back, glowing softly in the light of the room.
Miki and Gorou looked on with wide eyes and open mouths, unable to believe what they were seeing.
"My God," Miki murmured, bringing a hand to her mouth.
"This is... unbelievable," Gorou said, at a loss for words.
Kaito opened his eyes, his wings still glowing softly. "I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. I've inherited these powers and abilities, and there's a lot going on in the supernatural world that you don't know about."
Miki, still in shock, looked at Kaito with a mix of fear and fascination. "Kaito, this is... incredible. But also scary. Why didn't you tell us before?"
Kaito took a deep breath, his expression becoming serious. "It wasn't the right time," he explained. "There are many dangers in the supernatural world, and I didn't want you to be at risk."
Miki stood up, a determined expression on her face. "I'm your mother. I will protect you, no matter what."
Kaito felt a pang of pain hearing this but knew he had to be firm. "Mom, Dad, I appreciate your love and protection, but the truth is, you would be a burden to me in the battles I'm facing."
Miki started to cry, tears streaming down her face. "Are you saying we can't help you? That we're useless?" Sob
Kaito approached his mother, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Sorry, Mom, but it's the truth. I love you, but the enemies I face are powerful and dangerous. You wouldn't be safe with me."
Gorou hugged Miki, trying to comfort her. "Then what can we do to help, son?"
Kaito took a deep breath, knowing he was about to suggest something difficult. "You need to hide in a safe place. I've found a magical realm, the Fairy Kingdom, where you'll be protected. Asia also needs to go there."
Asia looked at Kaito, her thoughts torn between wanting to stay by his side and the need to be safe.
Gorou nodded slowly, still hugging Miki. "If that's what we need to do to help you, then we'll do it."
Miki, still crying, looked at Kaito with pleading eyes. "Can I at least say goodbye to our friends and family?"
Kaito shook his head. "No, Mom. We need to go immediately, without drawing attention. Any delay could be dangerous."
Miki felt sad but understood the necessity. "Alright, Kaito. If this is for our safety, we'll go."
Kaito felt a tightness in his chest seeing the sadness in his mother's eyes, but he knew he was doing the right thing. He intended to hypnotize them all to ease the transition but decided not to tell his parents.
Miki, resigned, started to go up the stairs with Gorou, their hands still clasped. "Let's pack our things, then," she said, her voice trembling.
Kaito watched his parents go up the stairs, feeling a weight in his chest. He then turned to Asia, who was still sitting next to him in the living room, her expression of concern clear on her face.
Asia looked at Kaito, tears beginning to stream down her face. "Kaito, I'm afraid I'll never see you again," she said, her voice choked. "I care about you a lot... I don't want to lose you."
*Sob* *Sob*
Kaito felt a wave of emotion seeing Asia so vulnerable. He approached her, holding her hands firmly. "Asia, I promise this is temporary. I'll find a way to keep you safe, and I'll be with you as soon as possible."
Asia cried even more, the tears flowing freely down her face. "I love you, Kaito. I don't want to be away from you."
Kaito felt deep pain hearing Asia's words. He leaned forward and kissed her softly, their lips meeting in a gesture of affection and promise.
Asia, initially surprised, returned the kiss, feeling a mix of happiness and sadness. When the kiss ended, she looked at Kaito with eyes shining with emotion, a shy smile appearing on her face. "I trust you, Kaito. I'll be waiting."
Kaito smiled at her, feeling more determined than ever. "Thank you, Asia. I promise I won't let you down."
Asia blushed, still smiling, and got up to pack her things. "I'll go upstairs to pack my things."
Kaito nodded, watching her as she went up the stairs. He knew the farewell would be difficult, but he also knew he was doing his best to protect them. With a deep sigh, he prepared for the difficult task ahead.
Time Skip
A few minutes later, everyone was gathered in the living room again. Miki and Gorou came down the stairs carrying small bags, while Asia, still a little shaky, held her own luggage.
Miki looked around, trying to stay calm. "We're ready, Kaito."
Gorou, trying to hide his concern, looked directly at Kaito. "How are we going to do this, son? How will we get to this Fairy Kingdom?"
Kaito smiled, trying to convey confidence and security. "I'll activate a magic circle that will take us directly there. Don't worry, it's safe."
Miki and Gorou exchanged surprised looks, clearly not fully understanding what Kaito was saying but trusting their son.
"I trust you, Kaito," murmured Miki, squeezing Gorou's hand.
Kaito took a deep breath and activated the teleportation magic circle under their feet. A soft glow began to envelop everyone in the room, the magical energy growing around them.
"Hold on," murmured Kaito, feeling the magic flow through him.
Miki held Gorou's hand tightly, while Asia moved closer to Kaito, trusting him completely.
The glow of the magic circle increased, and in an instant, they all disappeared from the living room.
