accomplish a great task with little effort by clever maneuvers

As soon as I entered the Asura Arena, a nauseating stench hit me.

It was a mix of thick, bloody odor and the sharp smell of excrement.

I couldn't fathom how they could endure it.

"Toss him in, and only open the door once one is dead."

Liu Eleven sat in the front row, coldly giving the order.

"Remember, if you want to survive, you must kill him by any means necessary!"

As Wrench helped me into the cage, he whispered this to me.

I frowned, knowing the danger had arrived.

Just now, I had killed that 200-pound Black Ghost with one blow, thanks to a bit of luck and surprise.

Now, being trapped in the cage for a face-to-face brawl, my current state left me little chance of winning.

The Black Ghost seemed confident of victory, hopping around impatiently like a wild monkey as soon as he entered the cage.

Such a person would never amount to much.

Senior Brother could easily send him back home with one move.

After putting me in, Wrench locked the cage door and then went to sit beside Liu Eleven.

Their relationship seemed quite close.

Of the 20 henchmen watching, only he had the privilege of sitting next to Liu Eleven.

"Cutie, good luck! If you can beat him, I'll spare your life!"

Liu Eleven's sharp voice immediately made me alert.

Hearing his voice, you couldn't help but wake up.

It was too grating.

Especially that "Cutie," which made me feel...

"Chinese, today you must die!"

The Black Ghost cracked his knuckles.

The killing intent in his eyes was unmistakable.

I had nothing to say, nor did I want to talk to him. I just grabbed the cage and leaned against it, resting my eyes.

I knew that once the fight started, there would be no stopping.

There were no referees, no fairness, no time limits.

There were no restrictions on any means.

If there were, it was just one bloody rule: beat the other to death!!

Killing was not only legal but also rewarded with material goods or cash.

It was also a thrilling game for the camp leaders, local warlords, or other wealthy people who bet on "pig fights."

The Black Ghost had a lot of nonsense to say, cursing me in bird language before launching the first attack.

After all, I had killed his brother with one blow earlier, making him cautious and hesitant to strike rashly.

"Old Black, make a move! What are you dawdling for?"

"Kill him! Avenge your brother!"

A few henchmen jeered outside.

Wrench, however, focused entirely on me, not looking away for a moment.

After a few shouts, the other henchmen started placing bets among themselves.

The Black Ghost's so-called attacks were just false probes, all empty moves.

Although my eyes were closed and my body was sore, my ears were still sharp, able to quickly identify his movements.

"Go to hell."

The Black Ghost finally got angry, realizing I was faking it, and threw a punch.

"Bang"

At least 300 pounds of force slammed into the wire mesh beside my head.

The force almost threw me across to the opposite side.

Even the wire mesh bulged out.

The Black Ghost was agile and fast.

But compared to me, he was still a bit slow.

"Damn, he dodged it!"

The henchmen were stunned. It all happened in a second or two, but they didn't expect me to dodge his deadly blow.

"Damn it!"

The Black Ghost had put all his strength into that punch to kill me, and when I dodged it, he was hopping mad.

"Wham"

Before he could regain his footing, another punch came at me, straight for my face.

I quickly stepped back twice, driven into the corner of the cage.

"Die!"

The Black Ghost's punches were relentless, aiming for my head.

With nowhere to retreat and no way to avoid it.

I had to steady my stance and block his fifth punch.

"Bang"

This punch was slightly weaker than the previous ones but still left my arms aching and swollen.

My arms instantly turned red and swollen.

"Still not dead!"

Seeing I hadn't fallen after his punch, the Black Ghost roared and threw another deadly punch.

Seizing the moment when he lost control, I quickly used the "four ounces can move a thousand pounds" technique taught by my master.

At lightning speed, I attacked his lower body, then grabbed his legs and pulled him down with a move called "uprooting the willow."

"Clang"

The two-meter-tall Black Ghost was slammed to the ground by me!

"Damn it, I hate it when people curse me in bird language! Remember, I'm Chinese! When you meet your brother in the afterlife, tell him: Next time, steer clear of Chinese people!"

As he lay on the ground, unable to move, I quickly pounced, locking his limbs and attacking his neck and temples with all my might.

Using the "deadly scissors" and "throat lock" moves, I rendered him powerless.

My fists, as large as sandbags, pounded his face until he vomited blood, his eyes rolling back, unable to fight back.

The reason I could knock him down in such an exhausted state was that I noticed his weak lower body and internal weakness.

It must have been caused by night after night of revelry. Like his brother, he looked intimidating but had no real substance.

But, to be fair, he could easily handle an average person.

Facing someone like me or Wrench, he stood no chance.

I don't know how long I fought, but by the time Wrench pulled me off him, I was panting, and he was unrecognizable and covered in blood.

"Useless! Drag him away to feed the fish!"

Liu Eleven gave me a strange look, then ordered his henchmen to dispose of the dead Black Ghost.

He must have thought I'd lose; otherwise, he wouldn't have made that promise so easily.

Too bad his plan failed.

I cost him another "general."

"Supervisor, we must keep our word. Otherwise, the newcomers won't respect us. Since he won, I'll take him for treatment."

Wrench spoke calmly, hitting Liu Eleven's weak spot.

I became even more curious about his true identity.

"I won't kill him, but that doesn't mean I'll spare him! Lock him in the basement for now. Tomorrow, let him work in the camp's telecom fraud section. After some observation, I'll consider moving him to the security team!"

Liu Eleven, with no other outlet for his anger, ordered Wrench to take me to the basement.

"Hey, pay up before you leave!"

Seeing the henchmen about to leave, Wrench called out cheerfully.

"Wrench Brother, can we pay a bit less?" they pleaded.

"No way. Rules are rules, bet one to ten."

Wrench didn't give them any room to negotiate, extending a calloused hand.

"Damn it, bad luck!"

The henchmen grudgingly took out their money and placed it in his hand, painfully.

Bet one, pay ten.

All 15 henchmen had bet on my loss, making Wrench a big winner.

"Hmph!"

The henchmen glared at me before carrying their guns and leaving the Asura Arena.
