Human Snake Battle

Screwdriver revealed some shocking information: Yang Lian-ting doesn't just live in that big flat; he has another hidden residence.

Screwdriver isn't sure about the exact location.

He overheard this while Yang Lian-ting was making a phone call. At first, he didn't think much of it because it's normal for supervisors to have lovers and multiple residences. But after hearing what I said today, he thought it might be related to Yang's deceased boss.

"We'll look into that later. Right now, let's discuss tomorrow's action plan."

Once we find the right opportunity, I'll investigate thoroughly and gain control over Yang Lian-ting. I can't let him control me, or I'll be in a passive position in the future.

After half an hour of tense discussion, Ba Yi and the others had to head to the workshop for their shift.

Chen Wei-qiang and I decided to go out for a walk and see if we could gather any more information.

We split up: they went to work, and we wandered around the area.

As soon as we left the dormitory and headed towards the auction site at the Red Building, we ran into the arrogant Evil Road.

"Hey, where are you two headed?" he asked.

Evil Road is also from southern China, so we had no problem understanding each other.

He had six lackeys with him, all looking down their noses at everyone else. Two of them had blood on their hands, probably from torturing someone.

"It's none of your business. We have the right to move around freely," Chen Wei-qiang lazily stretched and continued walking.

"Wait, since you're free, why not come watch a horror show with me?" Evil Road blocked our way, grinning.

I paused. "Is there a 3D cinema here?"

"Pff, who needs 3D or 4D when you have live shows?" one of his lackeys scoffed.

Evil Road laughed maniacally. "Don't be naive! I'm talking about watching a live human-snake fight in Liu Supervisor's villa basement."

A human-snake fight?

Chen Wei-qiang and I exchanged puzzled looks, not sure what he was talking about.

"The new guy from Jiangxi got thrown into the basement with a big python. The supervisor said if he survives, he'll let him go. But it's obvious he won't last three minutes. Ha ha ha," Evil Road laughed as he and his lackeys swaggered away.

Aren't they going to Liu Shi-yi's villa? Why did they leave then?

"They're crazy!" I muttered, watching their arrogant backs.

"Maybe not. Anyway, that guy Li Jian-guo is either going to die or be maimed," Chen Wei-qiang frowned, pulling me towards the small Red Building.

There's a saying: a shaved head shows how handsome someone is. With his shaved head, Chen Wei-qiang's features looked even more refined and handsome. No wonder that vile woman Lu-lu targeted him back then...

Soon, we entered the small Red Building where the auction was in full swing. The scene was similar to last time, with 20 naked women hanging on the stage, being auctioned off to these beasts.

But I didn't see Lu-lu. Instead, I spotted Liu Shi-yi and Yan-zi talking to a big boss, with Yan-zi acting like an ancient handmaid, wiping his sweat, giving him water, and feeding him snacks.

"Is it true that Li Jian-guo was taken to the villa?" I seized an opportunity to ask Wrench in a low voice.

Wrench glanced around. "Yeah, he's in there. His chances aren't good."

"Is he really locked up with that big python called Tiger? He's probably not going to survive."

Just the thought was absurd: a golden python named Tiger.

"That python's been fed for four or five years. I've watched it grow. It can swallow two live adults in one gulp. After it eats, it sleeps in a corner for days. Li Jian-guo is really unlucky to run into this," Wrench sighed and continued his patrol with his gun.

Despite his own miserable situation, he couldn't stand to see others suffer.

I leaned against a dark corner, feeling a sense of hopelessness as I watched the ongoing events.

"Congratulations to Mr. Cai from the Guogan Park for winning the No. 5 auction item for 2 million," the excited voice of the female host pulled me back to reality.

Mr. Cai grinned lewdly and went up to grope a pure-looking girl, who burst into tears.

"Stop crying! If you like crying so much, I'll make sure you cry enough later," Mr. Cai said, carrying her offstage, followed by two black bodyguards.

They were headed to the back room to complete the transaction and likely to commit more crimes.

I heard the girls in this auction were all virgins, hence the high prices. Mr. Cai, that mad dog, would probably double the torment on this girl to get back the money he lost last time.

The thought made me shudder.

"She's here," Chen Wei-qiang nudged me, pointing to the back door.

It was Lu-lu, with her four burly bodyguards, strutting out arrogantly.

After all the suffering, we finally understood: confronting her head-on was like hitting a stone with an egg, overestimating ourselves.

In the face of absolute power, we had to learn to bow down, becoming a pitiful dog wagging its tail for pity.

Only by staying alive can we have hope!

"Do you remember the class beauty from our class?" Lu-lu swayed her hips, approaching us arrogantly.

I grabbed Chen Wei-qiang's clenched fist, replying coldly, "I forgot."

I could feel his anger and trembling. How could I not be angry? But we had to endure.

Provoking her mindlessly would only hasten our deaths.

"I remember she wrote you a love letter in the second semester of our freshman year. Her handwriting was so beautiful!" Lu-lu sneered.

"I forgot."

"Not willing to talk about it? I'll make you remember," Lu-lu took out her latest iPhone from her black LV handbag and showed me a photo of a pure and beautiful girl.

"She was so easy to fool! I told her you came to Yunnan for my wedding, and she flew right over! If I hadn't gone to pick her up, how could that fool Ah-Meng have taken you to Guogan? That idiot sent you to the wrong park in the end. How infuriating!"

The pretty girl in the photo was indeed my other childhood friend, Lü Jun-lan. We grew up together in Changsha. After she confessed her feelings to me, we lost touch. I never expected fate would bring us together again in such a way.

"Where did you sell her?" The anger I had just suppressed flared up again. I wanted to kill Lu-lu on the spot to vent my rage.
