BYRON

Sydney was getting back to her former jovial, good looking self and it made me glad because she was still my baby’s mother regardless of everything happening. My mom decided to come stay with us to help Sydney take care of the baby instead of Sydney going over to hers. I was staying longer at the office due to the past months I had been absent and Taylor’s father had been sick so the entire law firm was up to me to run smoothly without any hitch.

My secretary stepped into my office smiling brightly as usual.

“I’m sorry to bother you, sir. Your lawyer is outside. Should I ask him to come in?”

“Please do. Thanks.” She stepped out and in less than a minute he came in.

“Good day, Knox.” He greeted.

“Howdy, friend. How are you doing?”

Attorney Martins hasn’t just been my lawyer but also my friend and family. His father had been the family lawyer but as soon as Martins finished law school, I made him my personal lawyer. He wasn’t as deadly as me but he was good.
