CHAPTER 9 : A CHALLENGE

A few days ago, I had given up on love and despised the concept of it, but today I am head over heels for Eric. I woke up and couldn't help but smile. Not just his face or personality, but also the way he walks, talks, and holds my hand, makes me feel amazing. I wish I knew what he thinks of me because I'm sure he feels the same way, or at least that's what I hope. He gives me the impression that I have some significance as if my existence matters to him and I'm not simply a cursed princess in his eyes.

I never imagined feeling this way again after all the heartbreak I've been through. It's like he's slowly melting away all the walls I've built around my heart, and I can't help but feel grateful for his presence in my life.

I sat up straight, and my head lay firmly on the headboard. Another letter caught my attention as I was lost in my thoughts, but this time with another rose.

I giggled and picked up the letter, which said:

My dear princess
