Wen Nannan watched the direction the girl ran off in. At the corner, two young men were waiting for her. They were probably a group.
After the girl disappeared around the corner, the two men poked their heads out, looking toward the small shop.
"Boss, just let it go," Wen Nannan said, waving her hand. "Do you live here at night?"
The owner replied, "No, my home is in the residential area across the street."
"Oh," Wen Nannan nodded. "Then you remember to lock your doors and windows at night. The security situation hasn't been good lately."
"Of course, I'll lock up properly," the owner said, agreeing with Wen Nannan. "One of my relatives sent a message in a group chat today, saying that all the money she had just withdrawn from the bank this morning was stolen."
"Really?" After receiving the owner's confirmation, Wen Nannan raised an eyebrow.
The last box of bottled water was loaded into the trunk. She paid the shop owner, said thank you, and drove off.
