The two had only just started dating, and Wen Nannan was still a little shy about Lu Huai's affectionate gestures.

She braced her hand against his shoulder, putting a bit of distance between them. "Brother Lu, please put me down."

Lu Huai paused at her words, then set her down gently on the windowsill. His gaze shifted to the still-open suitcase nearby. "What's the suitcase for?"

"Going back to my hometown," she replied.

Following his line of sight, she noticed a pair of underwear messily stuffed inside. Her face flushed as she quickly shut the suitcase and pushed it aside.

Lu Huai frowned slightly. "Wait another week. I'll go with you."

Is he planning to meet my family?! Wen Nannan suddenly felt nervous—she hadn't even given her grandparents a heads-up!

"Talk about bad timing," She said quickly, adding with a bit of guilt, "I'm worried the game might suddenly upgrade again, and if I faint, it might scare them. So... I thought I'd go back early."
