As I sat on the couch, sandwiched between Carmen and Ciara, I couldn't help but wonder how I had ended up in the middle of their chaotic sibling rivalry.
One minute we had been politely exchanging pleasantries, and the next, they were locked in a heated debate about who was the "greatest sister," whatever that was supposed to mean.
"You're delusional," Carmen said, gripping her controller tightly as her character performed a flawless combo in the fighting game they were playing. "Everyone knows I'm the responsible one. I've kept this family together."
Ciara scoffed, furiously mashing buttons as her character fought back. "Responsible? Please. You're so uptight it's a miracle your head hasn't popped off your shoulders. Meanwhile, I'm the fun one. Grandpa always says I bring excitement to his life."
"Excitement? You mean chaos," Carmen shot back, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Like the time you 'borrowed' his car and crashed it into a fountain?"
