I could already tell Carmen was in one of those moods.
The kind where she wanted to be mad at me but also couldn't help herself from melting the second I touched her.
She was trying so hard to sulk, standing in the middle of our apartment with her arms crossed, looking like an overworked CEO who just found out her favorite coffee shop ran out of espresso.
Her jaw was tense, her eyes narrowed slightly, and her entire posture screamed annoyed but also extremely dramatic about it.
I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling.
She looked so cute.
"You're mad," I said, stepping closer.
She scoffed. "You think?"
Okay. Yeah, she was definitely still sulking.
I sighed, my voice softening. "I did text you."
