The second Elena stepped into my space, all my irritation, all the chaos, all the noise in the background faded for a moment because God.

 I had missed her, and I could smell the faint traces of perfume mixed with something sweet on her, and her warmth pressed against me as she wrapped her arms around my waist like she had been waiting to do this all night.
