Chapter 32: Want to Make a Bet?

Around four in the afternoon, Ethan arrived at the Conrad family's old estate.

Old Mr. Conrad liked a quiet environment, so he always lived in a neighborhood far from the city center.

They had a meticulously maintained front lawn and an enormous backyard filled with various plants and flowers.

As Ethan got out of the car, he immediately saw Victoria and her nephew, Ian Conrad, sitting on a bench at the entrance.

Ian was playing with his favorite slingshot, while Victoria looked deeply troubled.

When they saw Ethan get out of the car, both Victoria and Ian stood up simultaneously.

Ian looked terrified, retreating backward with his slingshot raised, as if afraid Ethan might approach him. After retreating a certain distance, he suddenly turned and ran into the house as if fleeing.

Victoria, on the other hand, wore a cold expression and walked towards Ethan.
