Chapter 2: Birth (2)

"Hmm... I see then how about this, every 10 thousand years you two will have a fight that decides the world's fate form the next 10 thousand years in this very place. That way you will help this young one mature and solve this stupid vendetta over peace and chaos. Who agrees and who doesn't?" suggests Thanatos

"What's up with you Thanatos? Usually you are completely indifferent to the birth or death of other spirits." asked Raava

"That is different. Those spirits are born with power yet they refuse to learn how to use it. They are born weak like everyone, live weak and die weak. This world is not one of those stories you tell newborn spirits raava, no hero will save them in real life, why should I care about beings that don't care about themselves?" asked Thanatos with passion in his voice.

"You should care about them more. After all, you meet every single one of them when they die."

"Yet, almost every single one of them curse me for dying. They seem to think that I kill every one, and that's because of the stupid stories to tell them. WHY IS DEATH SOMETHING THEY DESPISE RAAVA? DEATH IS THE NATURE OF BEINGS. IT'S BECAUSE YOU FEED THEM THOSE STUPID IDEALS." Thanatos starts screaming at Raava.

"That's enough you two. Leave these quarrels for another time. So what do you think Raava, Vaatu is the suggestion satisfactory for both of you?" asked Chronos after calming everyone down

"Very well" X2

"Good, The first 10 thousand years there will be peace, to let this one's existence stabilize. After that a fight in this very place will happen to decide the world's fate." stated Aether.

With his statement, the world itself changed to make their decision a reality.

"Yay, a new brother will be born." Zoi the ever excited butterfly started singing with happiness at the birth of new sibling.

[Fruit POV]

And so time passed the harmonic convergence happened for exactly 51 times. During the 50th something interesting happened. A new creature was born. It was called a human. Humans, such a fascinating creature, yet so dangerous for every being including itself.

They live short lives, unlike the spirits I am accustomed to. Their whole life they are contained by what they call morals, but once they go past the so called limit, they become monsters. They kill, enslave, steal with no care in the world.

Despite their weakness in front of spirits, they desire so much. They are depended in what they call technology and divide themselves according to their access to material resourses. I don't get it.

Why do they fear the lion-turtles? Why would you fear something way more powerful than you? If it wanted you gone wouldn't it just kill you? It's not like you can stop it. Maybe it's in what they call blood, an instict maybe?

They already managed to tame the lion-turtles. They were nice beings, too nice maybe. Their kindness, a trait obtained from my sister Raava is a weakness in my opinion. It's not once or twice that was proven. I heard from Zoi that they went to the material world discarded their infinite lifespan, gained a body and now they protect humans from danger. It's pity, I liked them quite a bit.

Among my siblings I like Zoi the most, she is the only one that comes to talk to me, even if I can't answer her. She told me she loves the now known tree of time. She said it represents how life should be, but I disagree, what is so good about withering away slowly. Nonetheless, her visits are the only thing I can do while I am trapped here, other that thinking, learning and understanding everything I can from when people pass by the tree.

What a nice ability, I get all the knowledge of someone's life by looking at them, it's so useful.

I can feel Raava and Vaatu coming, the 52th Harmonic convergence is about to take place, I wonder who will win this time, since the rise of the humans Raava seems much more determined to win, but Vaatu is getting way stronger than her, humans bring more chaos than peace after all.

******************************************

Time passed and I must say that humans have proven to be tenacious enough to live in this world. Even if all free settlements got destroyed during the last 10 thousand years, when chaos controlled the world, they managed to survive by hunting evil spirits by using what they call power of the element. An interesting way to use the free energy that exists in the world. I worder how this power will develop their society, after all they divide themselves in one more way now.

*BOOM!*

Ah, yes the sweet sound of explosions during the fight of Raava and Vaatu. The only way for me to hear something, YES I can finally hear on my own. That is an achievement in my books.

[Third POV]

"It's my win Vaatu, the world won't be ruled by darkness anymore." states Raava as she trapped Vaatu with her limbs.

"It's your win this time Raava, but that doesn't mean that darkness will disappear."

"I am aware of that, but it will give humans the time they need to explore their new powers and develop."

"This kindness of yours always was your weakness Raava, you can't protect them forever." comments Vaatu but she chooses to stay silent.

*CRACK*

The sound of something breaking draws the attention of the two spirits. As they turn to look at the root of the sound they see that the fruit fell on the ground, while the tree started whithering in front of their eyes.

Before they react to the sudden change, most of the concept-level spirits in their humanoid forms, have already appeared close to the fruit, as it begins to glow.

After a minute, the light takes a humanoid shape and as the light fades away all the spirits see a laid down 28 year-old tanned man with long brown hair, a beard, two sapphire-coloured eyes and a buffed body.

After getting up the man looks at the spirits around him and immediately rushes at the woman with butterfly wings, giving her a bear hug.

"You can't imagine, how much I wanted to talk to to you." He said with his low raspy voice.

~~~~~~~~~~~{Chapter end}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has been proven that writing a fan fiction is way harder that it seems to be. You have to think of ideas, somehow write them down in a way that keeps the story flowing and you must keep action and slice of life balanced in order for it to be interesting.
At the same time since you know everything that is coming up, there is no suspence.
