Not Exactly As It Seems

On the horizon, Alister's figure emerged, his silhouette as radiant as the setting sun as he approached the central part of the jungle.

His presence alone seemed to ripple through the air, announcing his return before he even arrived.

In the clearing ahead, his generals stood. Wyverns perched on the towering trees, and dragon kin, both warriors and civilians, gathered.

Mar'Garet was the first to notice him.

Her crimson eyes caught his figure, her expression turned static as she smiled, her cheeks blushing as her voice rang out with unrestrained excitement.

"Welcome back, my darling!"

The crowd stirred at her words, all turning their attention skyward.

Even Cinder, now in her humanoid form, paused and looked up.

As Alister descended gracefully to the ground, his presence was met with gazes of reverence.

All present lowered their heads, their voices filled with respect.

"We pay our respects to the Overlord."
