Entered a Body to Only be Attacked

'Where am I? Wait, isn't this sword too close to my neck? Gentleman, please put away your weapon. It can kill someone. Especially me. The one you're pointing it at.'

"Tell me one reason to spare you. You abused the servants and looked down at your people. Now, you're going to abandon them and go somewhere safe by yourself. You're selfish and you shouldn't have touched my bottomline. This is the land that my god had personally guided me to protect. But you are letting them die to alien beast attacks and also going to surrender this land to the Star Federation. When those foreign aliens only want our land's resources and wrung us dry. Leaving nothing for the people to survive on."

'What is he talking about? And why does that sword look like the one I struggled to obtain in game to give to my game character? Wait, he looks exactly like my game character I raised!'

"You have no last words? Alright, then die!"

Raymond raised his hand that held the sword, about to kill the other.

"Stop! Xan!"

Raymond paused. He was surprised someone knew that nickname that god had always called him by.

"Who told you that name?! Tell me!"

"What?! No one told me!"

"Lier! No one knows my other name. How dare a scum speak my name. You have no right to call me by that nickname. You even have a similar voice as him. It always irritates me to hear you talk in a high pitched and obnoxious tone using his voice. Now tell me where you learned this from!"

Raymond swung his sword down and Reese barely evaded the attack. Reese felt cold sweat flow down his body. He almost died. The next few minutes were spent with Reese running and avoiding the sword attack while Raymond questioned him.

"If you let me live I'll tell you!"

Raymond stopped right before the sword touched Reese.

"I'll let you live, so tell me."

"Y-you have to swear on your god that you won't harm me and also protect me from getting killed by enemies. If you don't make the oath, I won't tell you anything."

"...then you have to make an oath as well, to the heavens. Swear that you will only tell me the truth of why you know my other name."

"Okay."

Raymond began the oath and Reeses followed after.

"I swear to my sovereignty and god that I will never harm Reese and protect him from any danger when he is near me."

"I swear that I will answer the truth to Raymond's question of where I have learned his name."

The world's will had heard their oath. The both of them felt a hot and burning sensation on their wrists.

"Ouch."

Reese raised his hand with the oath mark. His eyes widened. He knew that the character setting of this world, when he played the game, was serious to follow by their oaths. But he didn't realize it goes like this. He thought the game developers added this oath as a cultural thing of this world setting. Like a careless promise that could be easily broken without harm.

"Alright, tell me how you learned of this name."

"I didn't learn it. I gave you this name."

Raymond stared at Reese and they stood in a deadlock.

"You're not lying…"

Raymond's impression of the original Reese was too horrible so he couldn't connect the dots that the one in front of him was the god he was looking for all this time. Reese had made a truth oath. While Raymond made a protection oath. Someone that lies or breaks the truth oath they swore would feel a soul pain. The level of pain comes in various degrees depending on the lie, each time they go against their oath. Raymond saw that Reese didn't react to any soul pain. People who had taken the oath would immediately scream in pain before they could speak out a lie. Raymond had made the protection oath in a fit of anxiousness to find out about his god. But Reese's answer gave him no clues. It was a dead end. Reese had completed his oath but Raymond had had to get the bad end of the stick and made a protection oath. Frustrated but he could do nothing as the oath was already done.

"Call off the starship that is coming and cut off your deal with the Star Federation. If you refuse to, I don't mind suffering a little pain from my oath to give you some torture that will make you wish you were better off dead."

"I-I never planned to run away and leave my people behind!"

Raymond looked at Reese with dead eyes that didn't believe a single word he said unless he made more truth oaths that proved he wasn't lying. Raymond then put away his sword he was holding and told Reese to go to bed. Raymond swiftly left the throne room. His oath only works when Reese is near him, if he isn't within sight, nothing will happen to Raymond even if Reese got killed. Reese watched him leave and fell limp on the ground.

"Oh my god, that was nerve racking. "

After calming his heart beat, he got up and left the throne room.

"Excuse me, can you lead me to my bedroom?"

There was no one here in the middle of the night and Reese was completely lost. Then he saw a passing servant girl and asked for directions.

"Y-your majesty, please follow me."

Reese realized how much of a scum the original was. The servants all kept their eyes lowered and trembled in fear of angering him in the slightest. Reese thanked the servant and the other replied flusteredly before leaving. Reese entered the grand bedroom inside. He sat in bed for a while, to organize his confused mind.

[Greetings, I am the God System. My job is to help you become OP and conquer all the Worlds you get in contact with.]

"Wait what?"

[I understand this is all a lot since you just survived a crisis. I know because I was watching you two chase and run after another the whole time~ Well, it wasn't really a chase when you could barely run and his sword almost hit critically close to you each time he swung it. After you just died too! It's a harsh world out there. Anyways, just complete tasks and receive rewards for completing those tasks. Now, any questions?]

"Why me?"

[Because you are the founder of VR! After you had died, your world developed rapidly and grew to the point that any human can become stronger and break the boundaries of reality. Each world is connected to every living being that uses the VR cabin as a medium. I am the system created by this world's will. Because it is you who let us break virtual reality and become a real world! Unfortunately, the only way for us to save your soul from fading after your death and transfer you here is to use a trash character the game developers created using your real life appearance from your world.]

"Wait, I remember reading the storyline of this game. I'm that trash prince?! The coward that caused thousands of deaths from his poor decisions as a king? He was talked about passively and didn't even have an appearance in the game storyline."

[Hahahaha, yep! What was going to happen in this world was that the regent was going to kill you while you waited at the throne room to be picked up by the enemy you conspired with. His intelligence told him that the just crowned king will run off with the enemy and leave his citizens to die. Furious, he came to murder and at that moment, your soul entered the body.]

"..."

[Anything else to ask?]

"I think I'm good for now. I already died in my world and now that I have a chance of living again. I'll try my best to survive in this life."

[Great! Just sleep for now. You're burdened by too much chaos happening. I'll pop up when a task is being given. Good night~]
