25. Sarahs' and Abrahams' Fights

While Zion was fighting the two archers, Sarah faced down with the twin dagger-wielding rogue.

He smirked at Sarah, "Kid, aren't you a bit young to be playing knight? Go back inside with your Mummy."

Sarah frowned and gritted her teeth angrily, but she kept her calm and held her sword steadily, 'Zion said his weakness was that when he attacked, his right knee would left open for attack.'

Her eyes flicked to his knee; however, in that second of her eyes not focusing on him, the rogue rushed forward. "Never take your eyes off of your opponent, little girl!" He slashed at her arm, not wanting to kill her since kids at this age tend to sell well because they are easier to train when they are little.

Sarah immediately focused back on him and barely dodged his attack by rolling on the ground below his strike.

She ended up behind him as she stood back up, moving her sword before her.

The rogue turned to face her, clicking his tongue in annoyance, "Slippery brat... stay still!" He lashed at her again, but this time, Sarah was ready.

She used her sword to redirect his attack away from her arm and swung at his knee, but the rogue quickly moved his other blade to block her attack.

"Nice try. I have two weapons, kid." He immediately kicked her away from him.

She flew back with a yell of pain and hit the ground with a thump. She whimpered in pain but still stood up and shakily held her sword up again.

The rogue sighed, frowning, "Gotta admit, you're a stubborn brat." He shook his head, "I was trying not to hurt you. Ruins the future selling price, but I guess removing an arm wouldn't be too bad."

He smirked and crouched a little bit; one of his blades was held backward in his hand while in front of his face, and the other one was at his waist level.

As he suddenly dashed forward faster than before, Sarah smirked and dropped her body to the ground.

The rogues' eyes widened as his attack couldn't be stopped, so he ended up slicing above her twice, but during the first swing, she stabbed her sword at his right knee.

The sword entered his knee smoothly, and due to the rogues' movement during the second slice, he ended up causing the blade to cut sideways, leaving his leg holding on by barely 3 fingers worth of skin and muscle.

The rogue fell backwards onto the ground, screaming in pain as blood gushed out of the wound nonstop.

Sarah was still on the ground and so had become covered in blood; then she stood up and stepped toward him, then shakily raised her sword, "Don't worry, I won't let you hurt too much." She had a look of anger on her face as she stabbed towards his heart.

The blade stabbed into his chest cleanly, and he immediately spat out blood, "Gah!" He didn't have a chance to do anything except think, 'Killed... by a child...' Before his eyes turned dull, and then he stopped moving altogether.

Sarah stepped away shakily, leaving her sword in his chest before stumbling away and falling to her knees, throwing up. It was her first time taking a human life, and it hit differently than killing a beast.

------------

Abraham ran at Rob and quickly slashed downwards at him.

Rob raised his axe to block the attack and then kicked at Abraham; however, he expected this, and so had already disengaged from the axe and leapt back.

Rob looked at Abraham as he placed the axe on his shoulder, "You have some skills. Killing you will help my strength grow." He lightly tapped the handle of his axe with his fingers.

Abraham said nothing as he watched him, even without Zions' heads up; Abraham had noticed the weakness of Rob when he blocked Abraham's attack a moment ago.

Abraham slightly adjusted how he was holding his sword, and then it was surrounded by a faint green light before he rushed at Rob.

Rob scoffed and lowered his axe, planning on blocking again, but felt something was off with the attack when he noticed the green light on the blade.

His eyes narrowed, and instead of blocking like he originally planned, Rob dodged the attack and swung his axe down at Abraham.

Abraham quickly shifted his feet, allowing him to push himself so close to Rob that the large man couldn't hit him with the axe anymore.

"You son of a bitch." Rob swore as he released the axe, leaving it in his left hand as he punched at Abraham with his right.

Abraham quickly raised his blade and used the flat side of it to block the punch. Before Rob had a chance to react, Abraham quickly punched Rob's left arm, causing him to grunt in pain and release the axe completely.

Abraham, seeing Rob drop the axe, quickly reacted by jumping back and swinging the blade towards Rob.

The green glow suddenly left the blade and sliced through the air towards Rob. Rob's eyes widened, "Fuck, that's an elemental strike!" He quickly crossed his arms in front of him as the attack slammed into him.

The attack dug into his arms, deep enough to cut about half an inch into the bones of his arms.

Rob growled in pain as blood dripped from his arms, "Motherfucker!" He yelled in rage and ran at Rob, aiming to punch him.

Abraham sighed, "You've lost yourself to your rage. You've already lost." He said simply, then lightly pivoted on his foot to dodge the charging Rob and slashed at him as he ran past.

Rob stumbled a few more steps before stopping completely, then he chuckled weakly, "You're... you're not a Rank D... are you?" He asked. Abraham put his blade away before simply saying, "No."

Rob fell face-first to the ground with a thump, and the place fell silent again.
