Chapter Serial - A Cup of Afternoon Tea from South Blue Four: Marine, Get Lost!
Downstairs, a heated argument erupted. A woman's voice, sharp and demanding, cut through the air. "Get out!" she screamed at a man. He persisted, his voice laced with a hint of desperation, "Are you Portgas D. Rouge?"
From the second-floor balcony, Rouge replied calmly, "Hai."
…
King Kuma declared flatly, "And the factory, shut it down."
His advisor hesitated, glancing around nervously before leaning in conspiratorially. "The World Government won't be pleased, Your Majesty."
Kuma fixed him with a chilling stare, his gaze icy and unforgiving. The advisor flinched, his head bowed in submission.
'Such a tyrant, so reckless…' he thought, a shiver running down his spine.
…
"Pirates! Run!"
Panic erupted in the Sobert Kingdom fourteen years ago. Smoke billowed, flames leaped, and buildings crumbled. The screams of terror mingled with the deafening roar of explosions. Blood stained the streets, and the once vibrant town was now a scene of chaos and despair.
Citizens scattered, some fleeing in terror, others desperately seeking refuge in the King's City.
Inside the palace, the Queen Mother watched in horror as soldiers rushed in, their faces etched with fear. "What's happening? Why all this panic?" she demanded.
"Your Majesty!" the soldier gasped, "It's... the Guns Pirate Crew! They've invaded!"
In a hidden chamber, a colossal figure cowered, clutching his head in agony, his body trembling violently.
"Where is the King, Your Majesty?!"
The Queen Mother led the frantic search, her heart pounding with dread. An inexplicable sense of unease washed over her.
Crack... The door to the hidden chamber creaked open. The Queen Mother froze, her blood running cold. "Kuma... what's wrong?"
King Bartholomew Kuma whirled around, his eyes wild with a terrifying madness, his face contorted into a grotesque mask of rage.
A deafening roar echoed through the palace, shattering the silence.
Soldiers, injured and disoriented, escorted the Queen Mother out. Her forehead was bleeding, her face pale with shock.
The monstrous, bear-like figure smashed through the palace wall, unleashing a terrifying roar as he leaped into the city below.
The Queen Mother closed her eyes, tears welling up. "When he comes to his senses," she whispered, "he won't be able to bear it..."
"The S-23 branch battleship! The Marines are here to reinforce us!" A guard shouted, a glimmer of hope returning to his eyes.
A battleship, its sails emblazoned with the Marine flag, glided into the harbor. Trained Marines disembarked, ready for battle.
The pirates cursed their luck. The citizens and soldiers of Ice Cream Kingdom breathed a collective sigh of relief. But then, a scream, even more terrifying than the previous ones, pierced the air. "The King... the King has gone mad again!"
The screams seemed to echo from the distant sea, a chilling reminder of the horror unfolding. Kuma felt as if he had awakened from a nightmare, only to find himself standing on a shore littered with corpses.
His heart twisted in agony. The scene before him was a grotesque tableau of death and destruction, shrouded in a chilling grey mist. He looked down, confusion swirling within him. In the murky reflection of the blood-soaked puddles, he saw his own eyes, now vacant and white.
He turned towards the sea, the sight that met his gaze utterly devastating. A battleship, shattered and lifeless, lay wrecked in the crimson sea, the bodies of fallen Marines bobbing amongst the wreckage.
"Did I... do all this?" He whispered, his voice hoarse.
He turned back to the carnage, the full extent of his actions finally dawning on him. A guttural scream tore from his throat as he stumbled towards the shore, his feet slipping on the slick, bloody ground. He collapsed, tears streaming down his face, his despair absolute.
…
King Kuma's rampage became a legend, a horrifying tale whispered across the world. Reporters descended upon the island, cameras flashing, interviewing terrified survivors.
The soldiers loyal to the throne had been slaughtered by Kuma in his frenzied rampage. Those less loyal had fled with the terrified citizens.
"You must leave," The Queen Mother said, her voice trembling. "Don't ever come back."
Kuma sat silently on a small boat, his face impassive. His eyes, blank and white, betrayed no emotion.
The Queen Mother's tears streamed down her face. "Go!" she cried, her voice raw with grief.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the boat carrying the monstrous figure drifted away.
The waves crashed against the shore as the Queen Mother stood alone, the salty spray mingling with her tears. She turned to leave, each step a painful reminder of the tragedy that had befallen her kingdom. As she walked away, an astonishing transformation began to occur. The wrinkles on her face gradually smoothed out, her body regaining the youthful vigor of her past.
A reporter, preparing to leave the island, encountered her. He was startled to see someone still remaining. "Excuse me, but could I interview you..."
"Get lost!" Bonney snapped, her eyes flashing with a chilling intensity.
The reporter, intimidated by her fierce gaze, almost retreated, but a young woman with vibrant pink hair pulled him back.
Bonney grabbed the reporter by the collar, her teeth clenched. "Tell me everything you know about the South Blue pirate crews! Every single detail!"
Half an hour later, Bonney released her grip, leaving the reporter shaken and bewildered. "Why did you steal my money... you're the real pirate, aren't you?!" he muttered, his voice trembling.
…
One year later...
"It's that witch!"
"The one who drains people's life force! Run!"
On a remote island in South Blue, a group of pirates, once fearsome and bold, now cowered in terror.
…
Three years later...
On a pirate ship, the deck was filled with elderly, frail pirates, their faces etched with the ravages of time. Bonney stood over the captain, his teeth long gone, her voice cold and menacing. "Where's your treasure? Hand it over."
The toothless captain whimpered, "Who... who are you?"
"Bonney," She replied, her voice dripping with menace. "Golden Bonney. I only want gold, all your treasures. Don't try any tricks... or you'll learn what it means to be reduced to 0.1 years old."
Terror gripped the aging pirates, their faces contorted in fear.
…
Five years later...
"Is there really someone with the surname Golden?!"
Bonney tossed a coin to a newsbird, her eyes scanning the newspaper. She stopped, her gaze fixed on a photograph of a man with an impossibly long mustache and nose hair, his face a mask of arrogant cruelty. "Pirate King?!" she hissed, her anger erupting.
With a furious gesture, she tore the newspaper into shreds.
…
South Blue...
A violent tempest raged, and the ship was buffeted by the raging waves. A loud thud echoed through the deck. Bonney assumed it was a large fish washed ashore, but instead, a towering figure stood before her, laughing boisterously at the storm.
"Haha, lucky me, I've found a ride! That was a close one, I almost drowned... Can you give me a ride, beautiful captain?"
The man turned, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
'Crack!' A bolt of lightning illuminated his profile.
Bonney gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief. "Roger?!"
