INIIDF-Chapter 276 No Devil Fruit

''The Seven Warlords of the Sea...''

Given Hancock's formidable strength, her position as a Warlord is unquestionable— not even by Bonney, who overheard their conversation and shared the same sentiment.

This unparalleled beauty from Amazon Lily Island in the Calm Belt possesses the Medusa Fruit, which grants her powers that far exceed what most could fathom.

If Bonney were aware of abilities like the Hobi Hobi no Mi (Toy-Toy Fruit) or the Mira Mira no Mi (Mirror-Mirror Fruit), she would likely be even more convinced of Hancock's might.

There's no such thing as the "strongest" Devil Fruit— only the "strongest" Devil Fruit user. It's almost a redundant statement...

The mightiest individuals would remain formidable even without a Devil Fruit, rendering the fruit itself insignificant in this widely circulated saying. In truth, some fruits possess abilities that are nearly unbeatable.

The Mira Mira no Mi allows its user to become a mirror, perfectly replicating their opponent and their attacks. During the Totto Land arc, Charlotte Brûlée, the user of the Mira Mira no Mi, transformed into a mirror image of Luffy and even mimicked his Gum-Gum techniques.

The Mira Mira no Mi is arguably the most troublesome 50-50 fruit. The only way to counter it is to refrain from attacking— by not engaging the mirror user, you prevent them from reflecting your moves.

The Hobi Hobi no Mi is even more absurd. Sugar's age was frozen at the age of ten when she consumed the Devil Fruit, but her ability is ridiculously overpowered.

No matter who it is or how strong they are, a single touch from her diminutive hand can turn them into a toy under her control, erasing their existence from the memories of everyone else in the world. It's an ability so overwhelming it leaves you speechless.

Similarly, the Medusa Fruit is just as confounding. With a petrifying gaze and serpent hair toxins, each ability is akin to the Hobi Hobi no Mi, where being struck means the fight is over.

With just her Devil Fruit ability and her unmatched beauty, Hancock is more than qualified to be one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Not to mention, she's a natural-born martial arts prodigy, with an innate mastery of Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki), Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki), and Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki)... It makes one wonder if the title of Warlord is even worthy of her.

Hancock's two younger sisters even question whether their aloof elder sister would deign to accept the Marines' so-called position of Warlord.

Robin could tell from Hancock's expression that she had taken Liam's words to heart. Sander and Mari, after all, didn't know just how close Hancock was with Liam and herself in private.

However, even if Hancock were interested in the title of Warlord, there would still be room for negotiation between the Kuja and the Marines. But there's another obvious obstacle: the Seven Warlords of the Sea, as the name suggests, are exactly seven powerful pirates.

To make room for Hancock, one of the current Warlords would have to be removed...

While Hancock, Sonia, Mari, Robin, and Bonney each pondered Liam's words, Liam himself sat down and gestured to B.I.B., commanding it to retrieve the Magnet-Magnet Fruit chip from within him.

It transformed into a black streak of light and returned to his body. Instantly, an indescribable fatigue washed over Liam's mind and body. He trembled slightly, and wisps of steam rose from his skin...

Robin, of course, was unfazed by this, and the Boa sisters were somewhat aware of what was happening.

Bonney, however, was completely bewildered. Lacking Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki), she had no idea what was happening to this man named Giorno, why he suddenly seemed injured and sat there stiffly. But seeing that no one else reacted, she could only suppress her confusion.

After recalling his Stand, the memories and experiences B.I.B. had gathered during its time away naturally surfaced in Liam's mind. This included its search for the Magnet-Magnet Fruit...

Skimming through the glimpses of what B.I.B. had discovered hidden in the dark corners of Magnifique Island, including several secret underground laboratories scattered across the island, Liam followed B.I.B.'s memories and soon arrived at the end of its journey: the hideout of the former Magnet-Magnet Fruit user, the "Iron Demon."

"It's the underground research facility beneath the palace!"

In the memory, Liam saw "himself" in a bloody underground laboratory flipping through experimental logs.

"Comparative experiments..."

"Blood..."

"Counteracting Devil Fruit users..."

"So, the so-called Iron Demon is a 'mad scientist'? He's been researching this kind of thing..."

As for the problem that plagued the "mad scientist Iron Demon"— why the blood within a Devil Fruit user's body doesn't weaken them like ordinary water does— it's no surprise that the Iron Demon, working in isolation, couldn't figure it out.

However, Liam, with access to the research of a certain genius scientist, could easily make some educated guesses.

According to Dr. Vegapunk's research, any liquid that participates in the world's water cycle contains a special factor found in seawater, and the blood within the human body is no exception.

However, a Devil Fruit user's own blood loses its inherent ability to suppress Devil Fruit factors. The most likely reason is that after becoming a Devil Fruit user, the special factor in their blood undergoes a change, losing its suppressive effect on Devil Fruit factors...

Or, to put it more simply: once an ordinary person becomes a Devil Fruit user, the special factor in their blood immediately combines with the Devil Fruit factor and changes, ultimately becoming a factor unique to Devil Fruit users...

In other words, the blood of a Devil Fruit user may be fundamentally different from that of an ordinary person.

Normally, a person has only one Lineage Factor, which is likely why a person can only possess one Devil Fruit ability... Liam recalled the time he inserted the Pipe-Pipe Fruit chip into Laffitte, who was already a Devil Fruit user.

Laffitte's body seemed to crumble and disintegrate, every inch of his flesh collapsing in a tragic death. That was probably the result of two different Devil Fruit factors competing for the same Lineage Factor, ultimately tearing apart the double helix that represents life...

In the memory, "he" flipped through the experimental logs and heard movement from the entrance above.

"The King?" Liam's heart stirred. "The Iron Demon is the King of Magnifique Island? That makes sense— Magnifique seems to derive from the word 'magnetism'..."

In the memory, the blood stored in the underground laboratory began to swirl slightly due to the arrival of the person at the entrance... The Iron Demon's control over magnetism had developed to the point where he could interfere with the iron in blood...

Seeing this, "he" didn't hesitate and immediately flew toward the sound, only to find that among the three people descending from the entrance, the leader was the King who had hastily left when the Marines appeared at the grand tournament, followed by a princess.

"His" left arm, covered in blue flame patterns, thrust into the King's chest but was met with surprise.

There was no Devil Fruit chip inside the King's body.
