INIIDF-Chapter 310 Generous

On the deck of the Sun Pirates' ship, several Fish-Men watched the distant sea, where powerful waves churned from an intense battle. Faintly, they could make out figures clashing again and again.

As they chatted, admiration and envy laced their voices.

"Jinbe-nii is really something else," One of them murmured. "Second only to Boss Tiger."

They waited a while longer, but the sea gradually calmed. Soon, movement beneath the waves caught their attention— someone was approaching at high speed.

With a mighty splash, Jinbe burst from the water, dragging a massive Sea King behind him. He soared high before landing heavily on the deck, sending water spraying everywhere. Not that anyone cared.

Arlong took one look at the massive creature sprawled across the deck and let out a loud, exaggerated laugh.

"As expected of Jinbe-nii! He wrestled down a Sea King like it was nothing!"

The Soft-Boned Fish-Man, Crow, and the Kissing Fish-Man, Jiu, stared at the beast in shock. If it had been them, capturing something this big— without injury— would have been impossible.

The Octopus Fish-Man, Hatchan, grinned widely. "Shahahaha! Jinbe, you're amazing as always!"

Jinbe glanced at them, shook his head, but said nothing.

A deep voice called out, "Got all that energy out of your system?"

Jinbe turned to see a tall, broad-shouldered Fish-Man with red skin, a thick mustache, and a commanding presence— Fisher Tiger, the captain of the Sun Pirates. He studied the massive Sea King with an approving look.

Jinbe rubbed the back of his head, slightly embarrassed. "You see right through me, Tiger-nii."

Later, back inside the ship's cabin, Jinbe rummaged through a collection of tattered books and papers.

The crew's doctor, Aladdin, was nearby, organizing medical texts. He looked up, intrigued.

"Jinbe, you reading something? That's rare."

Tiger had followed Jinbe inside, watching with curiosity as the Whale Shark Fish-Man sifted through the pile.

Finally, Jinbe pulled out a crumpled bounty poster.

"Whoosh!"

He flicked the paper straight, scanning it before nodding to himself.

"As I thought… it's him."

Aladdin, a mermaid with a sleek black ponytail, set down his book and gracefully swam closer, his tail gliding through the air. He glanced at the wanted poster in Jinbe's hands.

"A human pirate? What about him?"

Tiger stepped forward, peering down at the paper. It was one of many bounty posters they had collected over the months since forming the Sun Pirates.

The image depicted a young man with black hair, standing in a chaotic arena. The photo had been taken from above, making his physique look imposing. He tilted his head slightly, revealing a sharp profile.

The angle of the shot carried a weighty pressure, but what truly made one's breath hitch was the name beneath the image—especially the bounty.

"Chopper Girano – 200 Million Berries."

Jinbe spoke solemnly.

"The Sea King that Arlong and the others are cutting up… I didn't catch it."

Everyone looked at him in surprise.

"I ran into this human pirate— near the Calm Belt."

Jinbe proceeded to recount his encounter, carefully describing Giorno's strength. Even though he tried to remain objective, his words left both Aladdin and Tiger visibly unsettled.

"A human… with swimming speed on par with yours?" Aladdin muttered in disbelief. "That shouldn't be possible."

Tiger crossed his arms, his brow furrowing. "And he was giving you trouble underwater?"

Fish-Men had a clear advantage in the sea. If Jinbe couldn't dominate a fight there… how much stronger would this man be on land?

"A 200-million Berry pirate is already this powerful?" Aladdin's expression darkened. He felt an uneasy chill run down his spine.

"The Shichibukai… Back when they still had bounties, weren't they all around 100 million? Maybe a little more?"

"If they still had active bounties today, they'd probably be past 200 million," Tiger mused. "And there are even pirates out there worth hundreds of millions… some even in the billions."

"What kind of monsters exist out there…?" Aladdin whispered.

A heavy silence filled the room.

The sea was dangerous.

But then again… the sea had always been this dangerous.

If a human pirate with a 200 million Berry bounty was already this powerful, then what about the Marines— who had maintained balance over the world's pirates for centuries?

The Vice Admirals, the Admirals… the names printed in the newspapers, what kind of unimaginable power did they truly hold?

Jinbe cleared his throat, trying to ease the heavy mood.

"I was only sparring with Giorno," he said. "Neither of us went all out. If I was holding back, then he must have been too… Uh."

His thoughts drifted back to their battle— Giorno's body, as solid as iron, his strange, unpredictable movements, his explosive speed, and those devastating slashes, sharp like a swordsman's blade.

And the way he fought— effortless, as if none of it had pushed him to his limits.

Jinbe muttered, "His true strength… is probably far greater than that bounty suggests."

Aladdin groaned, his expression darkening. "You do realize that saying that just makes things worse, right?"

"Not to mention," he added, "fighting at sea should have been your advantage, not his!"

Jinbe clicked his tongue, debating whether to tell them the truth—that during their fight, there were moments when he had felt overwhelmed by Giorno's presence.

That man…

He had something hidden. Some secret techniques.

That was probably his real strength.

But just how terrifying was he, really?

Jinbe pushed the thought aside. Maybe he was just overthinking it.

Fisher Tiger suddenly clapped a hand on both their shoulders, laughing heartily.

"Oi, don't look so grim!" he said. "From what you're telling me, this Giorno fellow didn't show any hostility towards you as a Fish-Man, right?"

Jinbe nodded.

"You even got in a good spar with him!" Tiger grinned. "A human like that could be a potential friend, don't you think? That's something to be glad about!"

Aladdin chuckled, shaking his head. "You always have a way with words, Tiger-nii."

Jinbe smiled too. Now that he thought about it, Giorno never looked at him with any prejudice.

Sure, he provoked him a couple of times, but that felt more like playful rivalry than hostility.

It was strange… They were complete strangers, yet their interactions had felt almost natural.

"Mm, something smells good," Aladdin suddenly said, linking her arm with Jinbe's as they left the cabin. "Let's go. Hatchan must be cooking up a feast with that Sea King!"

As the two left, Fisher Tiger remained behind, the warmth in his smile slowly fading.

His expression turned serious.

Humans…

His hand instinctively went to his chest, pressing against the scar beneath his clothes— the Sun emblem burned into his skin.

The four-clawed dragon brand hidden beneath it… throbbed as if it were still fresh.

No matter how much he tried to believe, deep down…

He still couldn't bring himself to trust humans.

I really am… terrible.

Elsewhere…

"That Fish-Man was quite generous," Robin mused, watching from the city gate as the Sun Pirates' ship slowly disappeared over the horizon.

"What do you mean?"

Liam, lazily floating on his back as he swam towards a nearby island, grinned. "Robin, am I not generous?"

Robin chuckled, her sharp eyes glinting as she admired Liam's sculpted physique cutting through the waves.

"He seemed like a pirate," she said. "His bounty is probably pretty high. You let him go without turning him in… how very noble of you."

"Haha!" Liam laughed, flipping effortlessly in the water. "Wait, was that a compliment?"

The two bantered as they approached the island.

With a splash, Liam launched himself out of the water, landing on the shore in his dripping shorts. He exhaled, stretching, before glancing around at his surroundings.

"Hmm… I wonder if there's a ship here?"

He took a step forward—

"Huh?"

Something shifted beneath his feet.

The sand trembled— revealing the glint of metal underneath.

Clank!

With a sharp clang, an iron cage shot up from the ground, slamming shut around him.

Liam sighed, rubbing the back of his head.

"Well," he muttered, "guess I'll check out the town first."

Above him, a playful giggle drifted through the air.

A small sky-colored Den Den Mushi hovered above, slowly retreating into the depths of the island.
