"I want to meet this, Zeus," Tanya said firmly, placing her drink on the bartop, "Now that Roy no longer has use for me, I have to find some way to spend my free time."

 Guilt struck me, "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault," she shrugged.

 Yes, it was.

We cheered before downing our shots of whiskey. The sweet burn made the confusion and frustration go away.

"Are you crying because you'll miss their money?" Tanya commented.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Your eyes are swollen, beautiful," she clarified while gently caressing my temple.

I wish I could tell you. I can't let myself feel it. I have to numb myself. When I saw that my other pregnancy test was missing I couldn't help but hint that Zeus had it. My other test had the same result. I think the package I bought may have expired. I hadn't bothered to check with how much I was panicking. I'm going to the doctor on Monday. I'll know for certain then. Only then will I let myself handle it.

 "You know it," I lied.

I ran my fingers through my wild wavy hair in a feeble attempt to hide my face.

"I just wish some fucking shit would work out the right way for fucking once!" I hollered while unintentionally shattering my glass

"Calm down!" Tanya held my wrist, "Luckily we used to work here so it's not a big deal, but you can't go around shattering things because you're upset."

"I know!" I shook my head in distress, "Just so much bullshit!"

She looked even more puzzled., "Did you care about Dimitri?"

 "No," I sighed.

"Look, we all have money from them now," Tanya comforted me, "We can go to Monterey soon and buy our bar and leave this place behind us."

I took a few deep breaths while gaining my composure. There's nothing I can do regarding my possible pregnancy, and Tanya is such a sweetheart for trying to make me feel better when I know she's having troubles of her own.

The look of love and kindness in her eyes helped ease my pain. I wrapped my arms around her in a tight embrace, "Thank you."

"Of course," she said while embracing me back," Another shot? This time don't break the glass."

"Fair," I giggled in surrender while taking back another shot of whiskey.

"Still haven't told me about Zeus," she commented.

I felt as if an ice-cold rod shot up my spine, "You really don't let things slide do you?"

"When have I ever?" she smiled, "Spill."

I pressed my tongue inside my cheek, "Remember that party I went to? You came the next morning with Roy, but I don't know if you met him."

She shook her head, "Girl, we've been so drunk and on one that I can't remember everything."

"So, I didn't know this, but when Dimitri decided to ditch me for Eve, I decided to fuck Zeus," I admitted.

There was no judgment in her eyes, only surprise, "Was it good?"

My cheeks flushed as I dropped my head in defeat, "It was the best I've had. I don't even care to know him though. Wouldn't care if I ever saw him again."

"It doesn't seem so bad," she hinted, "What's the problem."

I rake my fingers through my hair while pouring another, "Zeus is Eve's father."

Tanya spat her shot back into her glass and all over the bartop. I covered my eyes wishing I could disappear.

"Bitch, what?" she choked while gulping some water. The baffled look on her face made my embarrassment grow.

"I didn't know!" I defended, "They walked in while he was eating my ass."

Tanya laughed as my cheeks grew redder and redder, "That must have been one hell of an introduction! Oh hi, I know your Dad is trying to do anal, but hi!"

She continued to playfully tease and taunt me until I no longer found it as humiliating as it was, "Look, it doesn't matter. I mean to him it doesn't, so don't make it such a big deal."

Tanya tossed an arm around my shoulder while pecking me on the cheek, "Come on, let's get out of here, beautiful."
