“Seungkwan, I’m sorry about earlier. I shouldn’t have blamed you.” I tapped his shoulder and he just nodded. “Thank you for helping Areum.”


He pulled Areum in a tight hug before we separated our ways.


While we were walking to the parking lot, Areum seemed traumatized by the incident. Her fingers were tightly wrapped around mine. She was almost choking the air out of my hand but I didn’t mind.


I saw her eyes darting towards the ice cream shop once or twice so I bought her a chocolate cone. She calmed down a bit after that.


Seungkwan kept apologizing to Areum about leaving her alone for a minute but Areum admitted that it was her fault and thanked him for helping out.


Soon, we were riding in the silence of my car. She was usually cheerful but when she was upset about something, she kept it to herself and I had to coax her into talking to me.
