Chapter 54 HE\'S MINE

As I walked down the hospital hallway, I occasionally looked back on the hope that Uno would follow me, but I didn’t even see his shadow at all.

My hands were shaking, my legs wobbling each step and I couldn’t breathe. No matter how much oxygen I sucked in, it just wasn’t enough. There were little black spots that flicked across my vision, and I was only mildly aware that I was well on my way to a panic attack.

That didn’t stop me from my mad dash out of the hospital, though. My body was moving on its own. My legs taking me somewhere my mind wasn’t conscious of yet. I just knew I had to get out of here.
