Chapter 100 UNANTICIPATED

“Ryan?”

He looked surprised as he found me crying and walking alone on the street, going home. “What happened? Are you okay?” he asked, sounding a bit panicked. “Why are you going home alone? Where’s your boyfriend?”

“He’s—“ I choked in tears. I didn’t know how to explain it to him.

“Get inside, Ash. I’ll drive you home.” He said. “The sky is getting dark and it’s dangerous for you to walk alone at night.”

I took a deep breath, wondering whether I should accept his offer or not. But as much as I wanted to be alone, he’s right. Despite how broken I was, I shouldn’t be walking home alone at night and to think that I’ve been feeling this weird goosebumps again every time I was alone outside.

After I gave Ryan a slight nod, he opened his car door for me to get in.

Ryan watched me as I sniffled, wiping a tear from my eye. I took a deep breath, still trying to calm myself down after what happened to me and Uno.
